Hindusthan Samachar
?The number of Hindus who have given knowledge, science, civilisation and samskars to the whole world, is reducing day by day. They remain just 90 crore of the total 600 crore of world population and have been reduced in six countries of the world. On the other hand, 240 crore Christians are there in 94 countries, 1,540 crore of Muslims in 58 countries and 140 crore of Buddhists in 16 countries. Now each one of us should think why Hinduism is on the decline and why Christianity and Islam despite not being so old, are growing,? said Shri Vinayak Deshpande, central secretary of Vishwa Hindu Parishad. He was speaking at the 40th Foundation Day of VHP at Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. He said that the recent population statistics released by the government proved that if the same situation continued, Hindus would become a minority community in India itself. He expressed concern over the government move to distort the statistics and to initiate action against the Commissioner who released these statistics. Demanding immediate ban on cow slaughter, he pointed out that cattle were being slaughtered in the 36,096 slaughter-houses in the country. Meanwhile the Vishwa Hindu Parishad in Vidarbha Pradesh also celebrated its 15th Foundation Day in Nagpur on September 7 by taking out a procession from Gorakshan temple, Dhantoli, to Shri Geeta Mandir, Subhash Marg, en route Janata Chowk, Mehadia Chowk, Panchsheel Chowk, Variety Chowk and Lohapul.
