Seva Bharati Uttaranchal celebrated its annual function in Dehradun in which workers from various projects run by it participated and presented cultural programmes. Speaking on the occasion, Jaiprakash Goel, Uttaranchal Seva Pramukh, pointed out that the Seva Bharati was running over 135 educational centres, 24 health centres, nine social centres and 27 self-reliance centres in different parts of the state. He said that mostly the retired persons had involved themselves in the service projects run by the organisation. Social gatherings, religious rituals and different festivals are celebrated by the centres to inculcate patriotic and Hindu feelings in the people. Children participating in the function presented group songs, plays to wipe out superstitions from the society and propagate the need for polio eradication programme.
