General Body meeting of Himachal Shiksha Samiti
Schools as lighthouse to society?Dina Nath Batra
?Every Vidya Mandir should work as a lighthouse to the society and come forward to work for the downtrodden by creating a sense of duty among children, parents and other members of the society. The principals of schools must show firm determination and make optimum use of whatever facilities are available in the schools,? said Dina Nath Batra, vice president of Vidya Bharati, while addressing the general body meeting of Himachal Shiksha Samiti in Shimla recently. Expressing his views on management aspects of schools, Shri Batra said that only proper utilisation of human, economic and physical resources could lead to achieving the goal of Vidya Bharati. He told the workers to think of what ?we have? and not what ?we do not have?. ?We must have a proper goal before us and then strive hard to achieve it,? he added. The meeting was attended by 252 principals and school managers of 216 Vidya Mandirs located in far-flung areas of Himachal Pradesh. Shri Narenderjit Singh Rawal, secretary, Vidya Bharati Uttar Kshetra was also present.
