The damage caused by the second wave of Covid-19 is not very unexpected but together we’ll defeat Covid, said Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Prachar Pramukh Sunil Ambekar.
The second wave of the Covid-19 has caused massive disruption in Bharat and has put a lot of strain on the resources.
He said the swayamsevaks of the RSS are working round the clock all over the country to ease the pain of the people.
A 6000-bed isolation centre has been started in Indore in Radha Soami Satsang Beas ground. The swayamsevaks are volunteering in the centre.
More than 12000 schools run by the RSS all over the country are being prepared to be used as isolation centres. Some have already started functioning.
Ambekar ji informed that more than 10000 public awareness campaigns were being run to inform the public about ongoing vaccination drive.
The Union government has made people in the age bracket 18-44 eligible for vaccination May 1 onwards.
The RSS swayamsevaks are running awareness campaigns about plasma donation.
The most common complaint of the hospital authorities have been that people who have been cured of Covid-19 are not coming forward to donate plasma.
Because of the sudden spike in the number of Covid patients, there is a lot of strain on hospitals.
The RSS swayamsevaks are stationed in hospitals, helping patients and attendants with food and water packages.
Ambekar ji reminded that we would defeat the disease with everyone’s cooperation.
