VRINDAVAN: The entire life of the founder-acharya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), Abhay Charanaravinda Bhaktivedanta Srila Prabhupada, is a source of inspiration for humanity. Srila Prabhupada carried Indian culture, Sanatan values, and the universal message of the Bhagavad Gita to all corners of the world, providing a new direction to human society, said Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat at Chandrodaya Temple, Vrindavan on January 10, 2025.

He said that the objective of the Sangh and the devotees associated with the Chandrodaya Mandir is not limited merely to religious activities, but is to re-establish Bharat as the spiritual centre of the world through personality development, value-based education, service, and social harmony.

He also distributed the midday meal prasadam to students of schools nourished by The Akshaya Patra Foundation. Interacting with the children, he apprised them of the importance of education, values, and service, and extended his best wishes for their bright future.

He also had the darshan of Shri Radha Vrindavan Chandra seated in the temple andoffered prayers for the welfare of society.

The Public Relations Head of the Chandrodaya Mandir, Bhartarishabha Das, informed that after the darshan at the temple, revered Dr Mohan Bhagwat offered floral tributes to the deity of Srila Prabhupada and paid his respects. Chairman Madhu Pandit Das and President Chanchalapathi Das familiarised him with various editions of the Bhagavad Gita As It Is authored by Srila Prabhupada, including versions published in different languages. On this occasion, he also viewed the model of the under-construction Chandrodaya Mandir.

Chanchalapathi Das also provided him the detailed information about the grand architecture of the Chandrodaya Mandir, its unique structure, and the spiritual objective underlying its conception. The Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir aims to present Bharat’s cultural and spiritual heritage on the global stage in a strong manner and to inspire the youth towards the path of morality, service, and devotion.

RSS Sah-Sarkaryavah, Dr Krishna Gopal and Akhil Bhartiya Karyakarini Sadasya, Suresh Soni, were also present on the occasion.
