Pakistan-sponsored terrorists launched a ghastly attack on innocent Hindus in Pahalgam, following which India retaliated and attacked terror bases flourishing in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir with Operation Sindoor. Since the launch of the Operation, Pakistan has been peddling lies around it, with claims of damaging Indian airbases, destroying military equipment, all to woo the public and its trust in the decaying administration.
However, a new wave of claims have emerged, wherein AI-videos and animated contents are presented through official statements and social media posts in a dramatic manner.
Some of these claims include:
Claim-1: Pakistan attacked 32 Indian Airbases
One of the biggest claims made by Pakistan is that it hit 32 Indian airbases during the confrontation. All these claims are supported by zero evidence. Only four of the Indian airbases sustained minimal damage and India had acknowledged these damages during the operation itself.
Claim-2: Pakistan shot down eight Indian fighter jets
Another claim which has been made by Pakistan is that, the Pakistani Air Force had shot down eight Indian aircrafts. At different times the numbers of downed claims of aircrafts by Pakistan changes dramatically starting from one and goes to as high as 30.
The Indian Airforce has acknowledged the loss of aircrafts during the operation but no such numbers have been revealed. These claims made by Pakistan are anyways not supported by evidence.
Claim-3: Pakistan destroyed S-400 Air Defence Systems
Yet another claim which keeps popping up from the day Operation Sindoor was launched and that is Pakistan destroyed India’s S-400 surface to air missile system.
Soon after the claims were being made, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Adampur Air Force Station on May 13, 2025, delivering a sharp address with an intact S-400 air defense system in the background to debunk Pakistan’s false claims of destroying the base.
Claim-4: Pakistan jammed Indian military satellites
Pakistan also claimed that it has jammed Indian Military satellited during the Operation. There is no supported evidence to back this fake claim.
Claim-5: Pakistan hacked India’s power grid
Pakistan further claimed that it had hacked India’s power infrastructure and disrupted the country’s electricity supply.
There was no reported nationwide power disruption that would support Pakistan’s claim of successfully attacking India’s power grid.
Claim-6: Fuel supplies were disrupted
Pakistan also claimed that it had disrupted fuel supplies in India.
There is no evidence of such a disruption. In the book, The Sky Warriors: Operation Sindoor Unveiled, it is stated that there was no such disruption and that people continued their normal lives despite the tension during the conflict.
Again and again, Pakistan keeps peddling such lies on social media through AI generated videos and clips. These lies are shared repeatedly with little or no basis in reality, simply to woo the local populace and sympathisers of terror-supporting administrations such as Pakistan.
India hit terror bases in Pakistan not the other way around. No matter how many lies Pakistan peddles, this truth will remain unchanged. Therefore, be very cautious while reading such misleading claims on social media. They can be AI generated as well.
