Continuation of 2023 Initiative
The 2026 edition builds upon the first Bharatiya Bhasha Sangam, held on August 18–19, 2023, at Tent City near the Statue of Unity in Ekta Nagar. The inaugural edition focused on the unity of Indian languages and saw participation from around 300 representatives representing 34 languages, including linguists and writers from across the country.
Organisers stated that the Sangam continues to serve as a platform for dialogue among linguistic communities, reinforcing the importance of native languages in education, governance and cultural identity, while strengthening the broader vision of national integration.
