The Vishwa Sangh Shibir 2025 (VSS 2025) is scheduled to commence on December 25 at Kanha Shanti Vanam, near Hyderabad, and will continue until December 29. The five-day international gathering is expected to witness the participation of around 2,000 delegates from over 75 countries.

The Shibir will bring together members and families associated with organisations including Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh, Sanatana Dharma Swayamsevak Sangh, Hindu Seva Sangh, Sewa International, Samskrita Bharati and Vishwa Hindu Parishad. The platform is intended to facilitate interaction among delegates from different parts of the world, enabling dialogue, exchange of experiences and mutual learning.

Reportedly, all these organisations draw inspiration from shared values of samskara (values), seva (service) and sangathan (organisation). In several countries, they were started by RSS Swayamsevaks who migrated from India or East Africa, as well as by committed Hindus who believe that personality development forms the foundation of social reconstruction.

Shyam Parande, Secretary of Shri Vishwa Niketan, which is organising the event, said that each of the participating organisations functions independently while addressing specific needs within the communities they serve.

The Vishwa Sangh Shibir is organised once every five years. The first Shibir was held in Bengaluru in 1990, followed by subsequent editions in Vadodara, Mumbai, Gandhinagar, Pune and Indore. The upcoming edition will be the seventh Shibir in the series.

The central theme of VSS 2025 is “Dharme Sarvam Pratishthitam”, meaning “Dharma is the foundation of everything.” The programme has been planned by an international organising team through regular online coordination. Sessions and activities have been structured for all age groups, including children, youth, adults and senior citizens.

Participants are expected to arrive by the morning of December 25. The Shibir is scheduled to formally begin with the blessings of Swami Govind Dev Giri, Treasurer of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.

The keynote address on the central theme will be delivered by Dattatreya Hosabale, Sar Karyavah of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Spiritual guide of the ‘Heartfulness Movement’, Daaji, is also scheduled to attend the inaugural programme.

The concluding session of the Shibir is scheduled to be held on December 28 at 4.30 pm, during which RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat will address the gathering.

Earlier on the same day, a media interaction with delegates from various countries is scheduled to be held from 1.30 pm.

Former Governor of Tamil Nadu and Punjab, Banwarilal Purohit, will serve as the Shibiradhikari (Camp Incharge) for VSS 2025.

The Vishwa Sangh Shibir 2025 is being organised by Shri Vishwa Niketan, a registered trust based in New Delhi, which is dedicated to promoting Indian culture and heritage among Indians living abroad, including NRIs and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs).
