When I used to speak about Jungle Raj and Katta Sarkar, the RJD party raised no objections. However, it unsettled the Congress. Today, I want to reiterate that Katta Sarkar will never return to Bihar. After 2010, Bihar has delivered its strongest mandate to the NDA. I wholeheartedly thank the people of Bihar for their support on behalf of all the parties within the NDA,” said Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 14, while addressing BJP karyakartas on November 14 at BJP headquarters in New Delhi.
While targeting Mahagathbandhan, he said, “Some political parties in Bihar introduced the MY formula as a strategy for appeasement. However, this huge victory has redefined the MY formula in a positive light, where it now represents “Mahila” and “Youth.”
“This is not just a victory for the NDA. It is a triumph for democracy itself. It has bolstered public confidence in the Election Commission. Over the past few years, increased voter turnout, particularly among marginalised groups, has been a significant achievement for the Election Commission. This is the same Bihar that was once plagued by Maoist insurgency, where voting in Naxal-affected areas often concluded as early as 3 PM. However, in this election, people turned out to vote with remarkable enthusiasm,” he further added.
Cornering both Congress and RJD over their politics of appeasement, Prime Minister said, that the nation is now voting for genuine social justice—a vision where every family is granted opportunity, respect, and equality. A society where there is no room for appeasement. The era of appeasement (tushtikaran) has been replaced by a focus on universal satisfaction (santushtikaran). The people of Bharat now only want development.
Raising the issue of culture of violence and Naxalism during Lalu’s period, PM Modi said that the era of the Red Corridor and the dark days of terrorism are now part of history. Today, Bihar is relentlessly advancing on the path of development, and this progress is unstoppable. These results stand as a powerful response to those critics who once opposed the idea of development in Bihar. To those who shamelessly claimed that Bihar didn’t need expressways or highways. To those who argued that Bihar didn’t require industries.
Stressing uopon people’s faith in NDA due to good governance, he said, “If the people are re-electing the BJP-led NDA Government, it signifies the establishment of a pro-people, pro-governance, and pro-development agenda. This represents a new foundation in Indian politics.”
Prime Minister also hit out at Congress and said that the foundation of Congress’s political approach is rooted in negativity. It focuses on raising objectionable slogans, disrupting parliamentary proceedings, attacking key institutions, casting doubt on Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), maligning the Election Commission, and promoting division along lines of caste and religion. Congress lacks a constructive or forward-looking vision for the nation. In reality, it has transformed into what can be described as MMC: the “Muslim League Maoist Congress”
He further added that the victory in Bihar has paved the way for the BJP’s triumph in Bengal. I want to assure the people of West Bengal that, with your support, the BJP will put an end to the Jungle Raj in the State as well.
