Delhi Blast: VHP, ABVP condemns attack near Red Fort, says Hindu society stands with security forces and agencies

NEW DELHI: The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) has strongly condemned the Delhi blast that occurred in near the Red Fort, stating that the incident has shocked the entire nation.

Denouncing the act of terrorism on X, VHP said that, “The explosion that took place in front of Delhi’s Red Fort has shocked the entire nation and appears to be an attempt to challenge it. The Hindu society stands firmly and resolutely with all the security forces, investigative agencies, and the Union Government engaged in addressing this challenge”.

At the same time, we pray for the peace of the souls of those who lost their lives in the Delhi blast and for the speedy recovery of the injured”, the post further reads.

The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) also expressed its condolences for the citizens who lost their lives in this unfortunate incident and prays for the speedy recovery of the injured. The Parishad expresses complete solidarity with the families affected during this difficult time.

It calls the attack extremely tragic, distressing, and deeply painful for every citizen.

“The ABVP believes that this blast is not only painful but also a matter of grave concern from the perspective of public peace and national security. The Parishad demands a thorough, impartial, and transparent investigation into the incident so that the truth can be uncovered. It also insists that swift and decisive action be taken on the findings, ensuring justice for the victims and preventing the recurrence of such incidents in the future, reads the press release.

ABVP National General Secretary Dr Virendra Singh Solanki said, “The explosion near the Red Fort is extremely painful and alarming. We express our deepest condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones in this tragic event and pray for the speedy recovery of the injured. The Parishad expects that the incident will be investigated with utmost seriousness, the truth will be brought to light, and decisive action will be taken promptly, so that peace and trust may once again be restored in society.”

The explosion, which occurred around 7 pm on November 10 near the Subhash Marg traffic signal close to the Red Fort, involved a slow-moving Hyundai i20 car and caused damage to several nearby vehicles, according to Union Home Minister Amit Shah. In this blast at least 12 people had lost their lives. The explosion, which struck one of Delhi’s busiest heritage zones, has prompted a nationwide security alert.
