NEW DELHI: The grand inauguration of the three-day annual youth conference “Vimarsh 2025” organised by Yuva Sangathan was held on November 7 at Kamala Nehru College, University of Delhi. This year’s theme “Samvidhan: Bharat ki Atma” (Constitution: The Soul of Bharat) brought together youth, academicians, and thinkers to deliberate on the constitutional values of Bharat and its living spirit.

The programme began with a traditional dance performance from Southern Bharat, beautifully showcasing the unity in diversity of Bharatiya culture. This was followed by a captivating folk dance from Maharashtra, which filled the auditorium with joy and enthusiasm. After the artistic presentations, winners of the pre-Vimarsh competitions were felicitated.

The inaugural session was opened by Kavinder Talian, who introduced the objectives and journey of Yuva Sangathan, remarking that “The direction given to the youth will determine the condition of the nation.” Following this, Dr Pratibha Tyagi, the convener of Vimarsh, warmly welcomed all guests and participants. The annual issue of Campus Chronicle, titled “Samvidhan – The Soul of Bharat,” was also released on the occasion.

The Guest of Honour, Prof Ashok Kumar Nagawat (Vice-Chancellor, DSEU), spoke on the contemporary relevance of the Constitution. He urged the youth to understand the spirit of the Constitution and imbibe its values in their daily lives.

Prof Dr Pavitra Bhardwaj (Principal, Kamala Nehru College) inspired the youth to uphold democratic values, stating that “The Constitution is not just a document, but the very soul of our nation.”

Prof Balaram Pani (Dean of Colleges, University of Delhi) noted that “Platforms like Vimarsh guide young minds towards becoming thoughtful and responsible nationals.”

The Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker, Hon’ble Former Justice AK Goel, in his inspiring address, said that “The Constitution of India is one of the most vibrant in the world — it not only defines the structure of governance but also embodies the philosophy of life.” He urged the youth to make constitutional values an integral part of their conduct.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Pratibha Tripathi, who expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, faculty members, and participants, remarking that “Vimarsh 2025 is a confluence of young minds that will define the direction of Bharat’s future.”
