Kerala: Abdul Rasheed of IDFI gives death threat to Thamarassery Bishop; Calls for finishing RSS, Christians and Jews

A fresh controversy has erupted in Kerala after Thamarassery Bishop Mar Remigiose Maria Paul Inchananiyil reportedly received a death threat from a group calling itself the Islamic Defence Forces of India. The handwritten letter, sent from Erattupetta in Kottayam district—a known stronghold of the banned Popular Front of India (PFI)—was delivered to the Bishop House and has since been handed over to police for investigation

Report dated November 1 suggests that Thamarasserry (Kozhikode) Bishop Mar Remigiose Maria Paul Inchananiyil has received death threat from Islamic Defence Forces of India. The letter is said to have come from Eeraattupetta, Kottayam district, a strong hold of the outlawed Popular Front of India (PFI). Police have initiated enquiries in this regard, according to the news telecast by Sangh-inspired

Janam TV Malayalam channel. Letter has been received by Bishop House. Bishop House has handed over the same to the Police hence enquiry has been started. Bishop is in Australia at the moment.

The letter says, 90 per cent of the Kerala government’s revenue comes from the Muslim community hence schools should have facilities for Adhan prayers and niskaram.

The letter is said to be giving the hint that they are PFI workers under a new name. It claims that the latest Hijab issue, reported from St. Rita’s Public School, Palluruthy, Kochi, had been sponsored by them. The letter also claims that the issue got more support from the government than they expected.

Letter reportedly says that Christian institutions are centres for illicit activities. The hand-written letter says that Christians, Jews and RSS men should be finished.  The letter is sent by one Abdul Rasheed.

BJP state vice president Adv. Shon George said that Janam TV is the only channel who dared to telecast the latest terrorist issue. Report continues that the threat is not only towards the Bishop, but also against the Christian community.   Shon alleged that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is the slave of SDPI, the political wing of the banned PFI. He also alleged that both ruling CPM-led Left Democratic Front (LDF) and opposition Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) join hands with PFI to convert Kerala into an Islamic State.

Shon George further said that both LDF and UDF move according to the Political Islam Agendas. Janam TV alone had the courage to telecast the news of the death threat. Mainstream media are afraid of inviting the SDPI’s wrath if telecasting the same. He added that BJP alone talked about gold loot in Sabarimala. He alleged that Pinarayi Vijayan who operated the violation of the  traditions and rituals in Sabarimala organized Ayyappa Samgamam at Pampa.
