Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on November 1, the state’s 70th Foundation Day, unveiled the ‘Viksit Madhya Pradesh@2047’ vision document, a comprehensive blueprint for the state’s development over the next 25 years.
The document envisions Madhya Pradesh as a leading industrial, digital, and welfare-driven state by 2047, the centenary year of India’s independence. It focuses on four key areas: industrial growth, digital governance, healthcare access, and cultural and ecological sustainability.
“This vision is not just a document, but a roadmap for the next generation, one that connects progress with people’s welfare,” CM Yadav said during the event in Bhopal.
A major highlight of the day was the signing of agreements for the Ujjain Airport Development Project, which will establish a full-fledged airport in the temple city, known for the Mahakal Lok Corridor. This will be Madhya Pradesh’s fourth airport in two years, taking the total count to nine airports once completed.
The CM also launched intra-state air services, including the PM Shri Aerial Tourism Helicopter Service, under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, connecting major tourist destinations such as Ujjain, Khajuraho, Bhopal, and Pachmarhi.
“The new air connectivity will not only promote tourism but also bring investment and new jobs to the heart of India,” Yadav said, calling it a step toward integrating remote districts into the state’s economic mainstream.
Underlining the state’s digital leap, the CM launched the MP e-Seva Portal, a unified platform offering 500 government services online, including certificates, licenses, revenue services, and welfare applications.
He also inaugurated the Invest MP 3.0 Portal, a simplified digital platform for industrial registration, investment facilitation, and real-time service delivery for entrepreneurs.
Chief Secretary Anurag Jain described these initiatives as “a step toward one-screen governance.”
“Farmers are being connected with new technologies. Nearly 97 percent of farmer digital registries are complete, the highest in the country,” Jain said. “MP will soon be the first state where the entire government ecosystem is accessible through a single digital window.”
He added that three AI Cities in Bhopal, Indore, and Jabalpur, are being developed to expand the state’s service sector and innovation ecosystem.
In a major health outreach initiative, the CM inaugurated six Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) aimed at providing free healthcare to tribal and remote villages where no hospital or health centre exists within a 10-kilometre radius.
Each unit is equipped with modern diagnostic tools, medicines, and telemedicine capabilities. Services will include maternal and child care, immunisation, physiotherapy, pathological screening, and the creation of Ayushman Bharat Health IDs.
“These MMUs will ensure that no tribal family is left behind. Healthcare will reach the doorstep of every village, no matter how remote,” Yadav said.
He added that screening for sickle cell anaemia, diabetes, and other non-communicable diseases will be part of the regular outreach.
Fulfilling a long-pending demand, Yadav also announced the development of the Omkareshwar Wildlife Sanctuary, spanning Khandwa and Dewas districts.
The project, envisioned nearly four decades ago, will promote eco-tourism and strengthen wildlife conservation in the Narmada valley region. Officials said the sanctuary will be developed with a focus on biodiversity conservation and local community participation, balancing ecology and livelihood.
Yadav also launched the ‘Wash on Wheels’ mobile app by the Panchayat and Rural Development Department, aimed at improving sanitation services in rural areas.
The app will allow citizens to schedule sanitation services, monitor cleanliness drives, and report issues directly to local bodies, integrating digital monitoring with rural governance.
Chief Secretary Jain summarised the ‘Viksit Madhya Pradesh@2047’ vision around three guiding principles:
1. Happiness through citizen-centric governance and better living conditions.
2. Prosperity through industry, innovation, and job creation.
3. Culture through preservation of Madhya Pradesh’s rich heritage and traditions.
“Our approach to development is holistic, from farmers’ fields to factories, from digital screens to village streets,” Jain added.
Concluding the ceremony, CM Yadav reaffirmed his government’s commitment to transforming Madhya Pradesh into a “model of balanced and inclusive development.”
“Madhya Pradesh’s journey mirrors India’s journey. By 2047, we aim to be a state that leads not only in industry and infrastructure but also in happiness and human development,” he said.
The day-long celebrations across districts featured cultural performances, exhibitions on MP’s progress, and interactions with beneficiaries of welfare schemes.
