New Delhi: Launching a scathing attack on the opposition parties on the issue of alleged infiltrators in voter list, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on October 29 stated that only Prime Minister Narendra Modi can remove infiltrators from the voter list.

Speaking at a political rally in Begusarai, Shah alleges the opposition leaders for protecting infiltrators. He also warned the public about the now banned outfit Popular Front of India (PFI).

“Lalu and Rahul are the protectors of infiltrators in the voter list. Tell me whether the infiltrators should be removed or not?… PFI has started flourishing in Bihar. They are working with the aim of making the entire Bihar an Islamic state. PM Modi made a decision; by conducting raids at 100 places in the country, PFI members were picked up and put behind bars,” said Shah.

Addressing the public, Shah questioned “People of Begusarai, do you want to get the PFI members released from jail? PFI was an organisation with anti-national tendencies. PM Modi banned PFI. Now Lalu ji is showing them dreams that if we come, we will release you from jail.”

He noted that the state has become free from Naxalism under PM Modi’s rule.

“The work of ending terrorism or Naxalism on the soil of this country has been done by PM Modi. Bihar has become Naxal-free under pm Modi’s rule, and on 31st March 2026, we will end Naxalism from the entire country,” added the Union Home Minister.

Shah also launch an attack on Congress MP and leader of opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, claiming that his Yatra in Bihar was to save infiltrators.

Campaign for state assembly polls has picked up pace in Bihar following conclusion of the Chhath Parva with leaders of both NDA and Mahagathbandhan parties locking horns with each other for the political battle on 243 seats of the state assembly.

Addressing a rally in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur district, Rahul Gandhi launched an attack on the NDA government in Bihar, claiming that Biharis have no future in Bihar.

“Biharis have no future in Bihar. This is your truth. Nitish Kumar Ji has been running the government here for 20 years. He calls himself extremely backward. Tell me what he has done for education, health and employment in Bihar. Do you want a state where you got nothing/ Where Adani get land in rupees one and you don’t get employment. We want a Bihar where there is health, education and employment,” he said.

He also launched an attack on PM Modi, accusing him for destroying small businesses by implementing demonetisation and GST.

Though, a political row erupted over the remarks of the Congress MP on Prime Minister Modi, prompting critical responses from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders. “If you ask him to do a drama for votes, he will. You can make him do anything. If you tell Narendra Modi to dance. He will dance,” he said.

State assembly polls are scheduled to be held in Bihar on November 6 and November 11, with counting of votes on November 14.
