KASHI: “This building is not merely a office; it will serve as a center for organizational activities and a place for people coming to Kashi from across the country and the world. It is not a personal property but a public institution, and we must fulfill our duties to ensure its proper functioning. This is the outcome of the tireless efforts of many virtuous souls. After centuries, a favourable environment for Hindu Dharma and culture has emerged, yet many challenges still confront the Hindu society. Forces inspired by communist and jihadist ideologies are creating an atmosphere of violence. In such a situation, we must assert our identity as Hindus. Rising above caste, sect, creed, and denomination, we must perform our duty as Hindus,” said Milind Parande, Secretary General, Vishva Hindu Parishad, at the inauguration ceremony of the VHP Kashi office.

He further said, “An effort is being made to create an atmosphere where Hindus fight among themselves. We must identify such forces and foil their attempts. The declining birth rate is a key factor behind population imbalance, which is creating a divide within society. The community must reflect on these issues. Even among those capable of nurturing children, the reproduction rate is very low.”

He added, “Today, children aged between 10 and 15 years are being supplied drugs from nations like Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Burma, and Thailand. Drugs worth nearly Rs 40,000 crore are being seized annually, this is a massive conspiracy to destroy our cultural values. Cow slaughter, religious conversions, and temple takeovers are major challenges. Society must be awakened and made value-oriented, and it is our responsibility to spread awareness on these issues. We must also promote concerns like environmental protection, civic responsibility, and social harmony.”

In the programme, Mahant Bharat Bhushan Ji of Ravidas Math appreciated the organisation’s efforts, saying that the Vishva Hindu Parishad continues to work tirelessly for the widespread awakening of Hindu society in defence of Hindu Dharma and culture.

The worship and mangalacharan were conducted by Acharya from the Sanskrit University. Those who contributed to the construction of the office like Praveen Rungta, Amit Agarwal, and Naveen Rungta were felicitated on the occasion.
