NEW DELHI: The Chief of the Indian Airforce Amar Preet Singh has outrightly debunked the false claims and narratives of Pakistan and has quoted it as ‘fanciful stories’. He refuted the recent claims of Pakistan where the latter said, it had downed nearly six fighter jets of India. Airforce Chief further asserted that it was India that took down nearly four to five Pakistani fighter jets, including the much celebrated fighter jet of Pakistan, the US origin F-16. He also questioned the credibility and evidence for the blind claims established by Pakistan.
India renders proof for its claims, while Pakistan has no evidence
In his maiden press conference post the Operation Sindoor, AP Singh exclaimed, “If they think that they have took down my 15 aircraft, let them think. I won’t speak anything. I hope they are convinced about it and they will cater for 15 less aircraft in my inventory when they come to fight again. So, why should I talk about it? Thus, he described the stories built by Islamabad as ‘Manohar Kahaniyan’(fanciful stories). “Let them tell these stories to their public to save their reputation. That doesn’t matter to me”, AP Singh further took a sharp jibe towards Pakistan.
“Have you seen a single picture where something fell on any of our airbases, something hit us, a hanger was destroyed, or anything like that. We showed so many pictures of their places. However, they couldn’t show us any single picture”, said the Chief of Airforce while backing solid evidence for India’s strategic edge and victory gained during Operation Sindoor.

Firm and sharp actions of India forced Pakistan to plead for a ceasefire
During the Press Conference, AP Singh said that the firm and solid strikes by India never gave Pakistan an opportunity to react pro-actively or sharply defend their territory. Instead, Islamabad pleaded India for a ceasefire and begged to end hostilities. India had well-established, clear, predetermined objectives and accepted to halt the fighting, only when those objectives were accomplished. “This was one war that was started with a very clear objective, and it was dominated in a quick time without prolonging it”, said Airforce Chief.
“We could make them reach a stage where they asked for a ceasefire, ask for termination of hostilities, and we took a call as a nation to terminate those hostilities because our own objectives are met”, affirmed AP Singh, thus mentioning the fact that India decided to halt the hostilities not just because Pakistan requested for it, but also because the calculated objectives had been realized. In an earlier occasion as well, the Airforce Chief had reiterated that “world has to learn from India regarding how to start and terminate a conflict”. His comment came in the backdrop of unending wars that’s been going-on across the world, either in Europe or in West Asia.
AP Singh, during the press meet also spoke about the Surface-to-air missiles used in the Operation Sindoor that acted as game-changers and that literally “not allowed any freedom to Pakistan to do anything”. These missiles include S-400, BrahMos, Rafale etc. He also said that Operation Sindoor will go down in history, as India achieved the longest kill spreading to 300kms, thus completely curtailing the activities of Pakistan.
The Chief of Airforce also hailed the coordination and unity among the three forces during critical circumstances. The assets of all the three forces were integrated and operated under one combined control of the IAF command and control centre, this indeed gave a big boost to the victory of India, said the IAF chief.
