The Prime Minister’s tribute comes as the RSS celebrates its centenary on October 2. He also noted that the founding of the RSS on Vijayadashami, a festival symbolising the victory of good over evil, was no coincidence, but a historic alignment of purpose.
During the Vijayadashami utsav in Nagpur, Dr Mohan Bhagwat spoke to a large gathering with former President Ram Nath Kovind as the chief guest. His address touched on themes of national unity, the imperative of self-reliance (Swadeshi), and acceptance of diversity while rejecting divisive mentalities.
In his centenary remarks in Delhi, PM Modi reiterated that the RSS’s long journey is “inspiring.” He said the Sangh has nurtured many lives and that its foundational ethos continues to echo India’s civilisational values.
