“No degree of drama can conceal the facts”, India slams Pakistan at UNGA for glorification of terrorism

India by exercising its 'right to reply' sharply reacted to the speech of Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the United Nations. India asserted that glorifying terrorism is central to the foreign policy of Pakistan and no degree of drama can hide the fact that Pakistan is a brewing ground for state-sponsored terrorism. India further asserted that a picture speaks more than words and the world witnessed how terror camps in Muridke and Bahawalpur were destroyed by India during Operation Sindoor

India with its 'right to reply' at UNGA slammed Pakistan for glorifying terrorism

FacebookTwitterWhatsAppTelegramEmail

India took a sharp jibe at Pakistan in the United Nations General Assembly(UNGA). Reacting to the speech of the Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at UNGA, Indian Diplomat and First Secretary in India’s Permanent Mission to the UN Petal Gahlot exclaimed in the United Nations that Pakistan is involved in ‘absurd theatrics’ and is ‘glorifying terrorism’, which is apparently central to the foreign policy of Pakistan. Diplomat Gahlot also asserted that no amount of drama or lies can conceal the fact that Pakistan is a state-sponsor of terrorism.

“Mr President, this assembly witnessed absurd theatrics in the morning from the Prime Minister of Pakistan, who once again glorified terrorism that is so central to their foreign policy. However, no degree of drama and no level of lies can conceal the facts,” Diplomat Petal Gahlot told the United Nations while exercising her ‘right to reply’ to the speech of Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif.

She said that Senior Pakistani military and civilian officials publicly paid homage to the notorious terrorists who died during India’s Operation Sindoor, it is a perfect testament to the glorification of terrorism. She also exclaimed that India will make no distinction between the terrorists and their sponsors. Terrorism cannot not be practiced under the ‘nuclear cover’ as well and India will not sustain or tolerate such absurd blackmails. Indeed India’s message to the world is very clear, “there can be zero tolerance to terrorism”.

India further sharply criticized and mocked Pakistan for its assertion that Islamabad won the conflict with India. “The intervening event was the destruction caused to multiple Pakistani air bases by Indian forces. The pictures of that damage are, of course, publicly accessible. If destroyed runways and burnt-out hangars look like victory, as the Prime Minister claimed, Pakistan is welcome to enjoy it,” Gahlot said.

Diplomat Petal Gahlot also recalled how Pakistan shielded and protected the terror outfit earlier this year in the United Nations Security Council, just after the Pahalgam terror attack. On April 25, 2025, Pakistan had shielded The Resistance Front terror group, a proxy of the Lashkar-e-Taiba(LeT) in the UNSC and thwarted the sanctioning of the terror outfit  who had indeed claimed responsibility for the barbaric and inhuman Pahalgam terror incident. “This is the very same Pakistan which, at the UN Security Council on April 25, 2025, shielded the resistance front, a Pakistani-sponsored terror outfit from the responsibility of carrying out the barbaric massacre of tourists in the Indian Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir,” Petal Gahlot further added.

Indian Diplomat also asserted the era when Pakistan had sheltered and rendered a safe-haven to the notorious Osama Bin Laden who was responsible for the deadly 9/11 terror attack, while claiming that it shoulders with the US in the Global War on Terrorism(GWoT). She also said that recently many ministers of Pakistan had admitted that the country has harboured and nurtured terrorism for decades. These contradictory statements emanating from Pakistan exhibits the double-standards of Pakistan. “It should come as no surprise that once again this duplicity continues, this time at the level of its Prime Minister”, Indian Diplomat asserted while exposing the hypocrisy of Pakistan.

Bizzare and illogical claims by Shehbaz Shariff

Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif while addressing the UNGA, similar to his previous speeches at the UNGA, yet again raised the Kashmir issue and sought to white-wash the label of being a terror-state. In an illogical and unreal tone he said, “I wish to assure Kashmiri people that I stand with them, Pakistan stands with them and one day soon India’s tyranny in Kashmir will come to a halt”. He further advocated for the “fundamental right to self-determination through an impartial plebiscite in Kashmir under the auspices of the United Nations”. While, speaking about the rights of the people of Kashmir, it seems Pakistan PM forgets about the human rights dwindling in the air within Pakistan itself.

Whereas, India considers the conflict with Pakistan clearly as a bilateral issue and never encourages third-party mediation in the matter. Ironically, Pakistan PM also claimed that the nation condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. In reality, lately multiple videos are surfacing from the terror camps of Pakistan which shows how India devastated the terror infrastructure during Operation Sindoor. Also, the death of civilians and the children in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa who were victims of Pakistan Air force’s relentless bombing in the name of counter-terrorism operations is also a testament to the nature of counter-terrorism deeds that Pakistan does!

Shehbaz Sharif also said that New Delhi has violated the international law by keeping the Indus Water Treaty in abeyance. However, Prime Minister Modi has firmly asserted that the “blood and water” cannot flow together.
