Patna: In a major move ahead of the assembly polls, Bihar State cabinet led by Chief Minister [CM] Nitish Kumar on August 26 approved the Bihar Industrial Investment Promotion Package [BIIPP] 2025. The decision was taken in a cabinet meet held on Tuesday where a total of 26 proposals were accorded node.
As per the details, the State’s NDA government under the new Industrial Package will allocate free lands to industrial units, depending upon their investments. According to the package, Industrial units investing more than 100 crores and creating 1000 direct jobs will be allocated up to 10 acres of cost free land in the State.
Similarly, units investing more than 1000 crores will be allocated up to 25 acres’ land while the Fortune 500 companies will be allocated free land up to 10 acres. The announcement is expected to encourage industries in the state.
Sharing the news on X, CM Nitish Kumar said ” The new Industrial Package will help in providing jobs and employment to 1 crore youth in 5 years.”

“The objective of this initiative is to further promote industries in Bihar, make the youth of Bihar skilled and self-reliant, enable them to get maximum employment within the state itself, and secure their future,” added CM Kumar.
Other key proposals approved by the cabinet
Among the other key decisions taken in the cabinet meet, the State government approved 14600 acres of land acquisition for setting up Industrial Parks in the state. As per the details, the government aims to establish more than 30 Industrial Parks which will come up across 7 cities including Bhojpur, Darbhanga, Purnea, Sheohar, Sekhpura, Rohtas and Patna.
The State cabinet has also announced a special package to promote international flights from Patna and Gaya airports. According to details, the government will provide subsidies to aviation companies operating international flights with more than 150 passengers.
International flights from Patna to Nepal’s capital Kathmandu will be given a subsidy of Rs 5 lakh under the package, while flights from Gaya to Singapore, Sharjah and Colombo will be given subsidy of Rs 10 lakhs.
The announcement is expected to boost the state’s connectivity to gulf countries along providing relief to scores of travellers from State who currently needs to travel to Delhi, Kolkata and other cities to catch the international flights.
The cabinet during the meeting also gave node to a Fintech city which will come up near Neura-Daniyawan with an estimated cost of over Rs 400 crores. The government will acquire around 240 acres of land for the project and will come up with modern infrastructure for investors.
Furthermore, the cabinet also approved hike in monthly wages of agriculture advisors [ Krishi Salahkar] from Rs 13k to 21k. The move will benefit over 7000 advisors currently working in the State.
