In what appears to be a calculated campaign to spread fear and disruption, this marks the fourth consecutive incident within just five days, pushing schools, parents, and security agencies into a state of heightened anxiety.

The pattern began earlier in the week when, on August 18, nearly 32 schools across Delhi received bomb threat emails. The threats triggered full-scale evacuations, urgent searches, and hours of panic before officials confirmed them to be hoaxes. By Wednesday, the situation had escalated dramatically: more than 60 schools were targeted with near-identical threats, causing mass evacuations, road disruptions, and chaos for thousands of families across the capital.
August 21’s wave of threats extended the scare to five institutions, and now August 22’s case in Dwarka Sector-7 highlights the persistence of the menace. Officials have not yet disclosed whether the latest email matches the template of the earlier hoax messages, but investigators are treating it as part of a wider, coordinated campaign.
Parents, still reeling from the previous days’ threats, rushed to collect their children once again. “This is psychological terrorism. Even if the threats are hoaxes, the fear and trauma they create for children is real,” said one distressed parent outside the Dwarka school. Teachers too expressed frustration over repeated evacuations, which have disrupted classes, exams, and overall academic schedules.
Security officials acknowledge that these serial threats though so far unsubstantiated are not merely pranks but a deliberate attempt to paralyze normal life, instill fear, and test the city’s emergency response systems.
