As part of the centenary year celebrations of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a series of events are being organised across the country—from district level to the national level. Among these, a major initiative involves dialogues with prominent personalities from all sections of society. These dialogues will be held in four major metropolitan cities—New Delhi, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Mumbai—with the presence of RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat.
In this context, a three-day lecture series is scheduled to take place at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on August 26, 27, and 28. During a press conference held at Keshav Kunj, Sunil Ambekar, the Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh (All India Publicity Head) of the RSS, shared detailed information about the event.
Ambekar, in his address, stated that the lecture series would witness participation from distinguished figures representing various fields, communities, and ideologies. Invitations are being extended to key personalities categorised under 17 main and 138 sub-categories, covering areas such as social service, economy, spirituality, sports, education, knowledge traditions and languages, entrepreneurship, as well as ambassadors from various countries stationed in Bharat.
Speaking on the topics to be discussed during the event, Mr. Ambekar highlighted that the lecture series will reflect on the Sangh’s role and experiences during its 100-year journey, along with a vision for the future. Dr Bhagwat is expected to share his thoughts on the areas where the Sangh and its Swayamsevaks need to focus going forward. A key highlight will be the discussion on the RSS’s perspective on “Panch Parivartan” (Five Transformations) and the expected participation of society in realising this vision.
There will also be deliberations on the growing expectations and aspirations of a rapidly progressing nation and how RSS Swayamsevaks are contributing to this momentum. The event will emphasise the belief that Bharat can truly advance towards new horizons only by drawing strength from its Swa (innate identity) and inherent capabilities.
Ambekar noted that there will be discussions on the colonial benchmarks of development that have continued since the period of foreign rule, and how the immense, so far suppressed, potential of Bharatiya society can now be brought to the forefront. Important contemporary issues affecting the nation and society will also be addressed, alongside Bharat’s emerging role on the global stage. On the third day of the event, written questions and queries submitted by the attendees will be taken up and answered.
Highlighting the broader framework of centenary year programmes, Ambekar informed that over 1,000 seminars will be organised across the country throughout the year, with participation from senior RSS functionaries. The Sarkaryavah (General Secretary) of the Sangh is also scheduled to attend several of these events.
He emphasised that throughout its 100-year journey since its inception in 1925, the RSS has consistently worked towards reaching out to every section of society, with the message that its ideology is not separate from Bharat’s long-standing civilisational traditions. The core philosophy of the Sangh has always been about working together with all to contribute to the nation’s progress.
Sunil Ambekar concluded by stating that the RSS envisions a united national effort in this journey of development. In this direction, Sangh Swayamsevaks are actively participating in and supporting various fields, including initiatives like Atmanirbhar Bharat.
