Kreeda Bharati has launched a nationwide initiative to spark meaningful conversations around Indian values in sports. With a goal of conducting 100 seminars across the country, the campaign began with a grand inaugural event at the Constitution Club of India, Jaipur on August 10. Centered on the theme “Khel Srishti Mein Bharatiya Drishti” (Bharatiya Perspective in the World of Sports), the seminar brought together policymakers, thought leaders, athletes, and sports professionals to explore how Bharat can reassert its traditional ethos in the modern sporting landscape

Megh Singh Chauhan, State Convenor of Kreeda Bharati, delivered the opening remarks and highlighted the organisation’s commitment to resolving challenges in the sports domain while promoting Bharatiya thought in sports. All 100 upcoming seminars across the country, including 7 in various districts of Rajasthan, will center around this core theme.

He emphasised that over the past decade, a positive environment for sports has emerged in Bharat, the results of which will become increasingly evident in the coming years.

Distinguished Guests & Speakers

The seminar featured several prominent personalities:

Chief Guest: K K Vishnoi, Minister of State for Industries, Sports, Youth, and Skill Development, Government of Rajasthan
Special Guest: Gopal Saini, National President, Kreeda Bharati
Keynote Speaker: Prafulla Ketkar, Editor, Organiser magazine, Bharat Prakashan, New Delhi

The event was moderated by Rajendra Hans, former District Education Officer, Jaipur.

Audience Participation

Over 350 participants attended the seminar, including renowned athletes, coaches, sports organisation officials, representatives from the Sports Council, sports journalists, sports equipment manufacturers, and sports enthusiasts from the Jaipur region. Kreeda Bharati karyakartas and well-wishers also took part in large numbers.

Sharad Mishra, State Convenor of Kreeda Bharati, extended heartfelt thanks to all the dignitaries, speakers, and attendees.

World Book of Records Recognition

Kreeda Bharati was honoured with a World Record Certificate by the World Book of Records for its contribution to setting a record in the practice of Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation). The certificate was received on behalf of Kreeda Bharati by Megh Singh Chauhan.

Insights from the Seminar

“True Competition Leads to Inner Growth” – Prafulla Ketkar

Prafulla Ketkar emphasised that certain foreign influences are attempting to erode the Bharatiya perspective on sports. He cautioned against the commercialisation of sports under the guise of professionalisation, which often distorts the original Bharatiya ethos and rules of traditional games.

He asserted that competition should be a path to spiritual and inner development, aligning with the ideals promoted by Kreeda Bharati. “Sports should be a form of sadhana (dedicated practice), not a means for selfish gains,” he said.

“Bharat is Now Winning Medals in Numbers” – K K Vishnoi

Minister K K Vishnoi noted that Bharat has made significant strides in removing negative narratives about Bharatiya identity, particularly in sports. He cited initiatives like Khelo India and Khelo Rajasthan as vital platforms for youth advancement.

“Bharat is now seeing a surge in medal wins, thanks to proactive government efforts,” he stated, adding that the Rajasthan government has made special budgetary provisions for sports development. He also emphasised the importance of youth engagement in environmental and national service activities, expressing support for Kreeda Bharati’s mission.

“Building Character and Patriotism Through Sports” – Gopal Saini

National President Gopal Saini underscored the importance of nurturing not just athletes, but character-driven, patriotic role models. He stressed that instilling Bharatiya values in sports is essential to creating players who inspire national pride and unity.

About Kreeda Bharati

Kreeda Bharati is an all-India social organisation committed to the vision: “Character Building through Sports, Nation Building through Character.” It actively works for the promotion of both mainstream and traditional Bharatiya sports.

Kreeda Bharati aims to bring people back to playgrounds—not just for competition, but for joy, fitness, and community building. Through sports, the organisation envisions the development of a healthier society, greater social harmony, and a deeper sense of brotherhood.

By preparing athletes with strong values and promoting excellence on national and international platforms, Kreeda Bharati believes that sports can become a powerful medium for cultivating national spirit and pride.
