In a powerful display of military might and strategic precision, the Indian Air Force (IAF) on August 10, released unseen footage of Operation Sindoor, revealing the exact moments when fighter jets targeted and destroyed multiple terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu-Kashmir (PoJK).
The six-minute video, posted on the IAF’s official account on X (formerly Twitter), showcased high-definition visuals of the strikes carried out in May this year. It comes as a public reminder of India’s resolve following the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which left 26 civilians dead.
Opening with the caption, “IAF responded with precision, speed, resolve,” the footage captured the destruction of terror camps, the take-off and strike sequences of Sukhoi Su-30 MKIs and Mirage-2000s, and before-and-after images of the targeted sites. The montage also included archival clips from the 1971 war, the Kargil conflict, and the 2019 Balakot airstrikes in response to the Pulwama attack.

The narration in the video declared: “When the skies grow dark and danger looms across land or sea, there’s one force that rises. Vast, fearless and precise. The Indian Air Force.”
Operation Sindoor: The Mission and its impact
Launched on May 7, Operation Sindoor was a coordinated offensive by the Indian Armed Forces aimed at eliminating cross-border terror infrastructure. According to officials, over 100 terrorists were neutralised in the strikes.
Following the destruction of its terror hubs, Pakistan retaliated with a massive missile and drone attack, which the Indian defence system intercepted. India then responded by striking Pakistani airfields, crippling its operational capacity.
Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh, speaking at an event in Bengaluru last Saturday, revealed that the IAF achieved one of its most significant aerial victories in history during the operation.
“We have confirmation of at least five Pakistani fighter jets destroyed and one large aircraft, possibly an AWACS, eliminated at a distance of about 300 kilometres. This marks the largest ever recorded surface-to-air kill in military history,” he stated.
The video release not only celebrates the tactical success of Operation Sindoor but also underscores the IAF’s historic role in safeguarding national security, from 1971 to Kargil and beyond.
