Nagpur: The bi-annual meeting of the Rashtra Sevika Samiti’s All India Executive and Representatives commenced at Reshimbagh Smriti Mandir in Nagpur on July 18. The gathering was inaugurated by Pramukh Sanchalika Shanta Kumari Ji by lighting the traditional lamp.

Approximately 500 Sevikas (female representatives) from 38 provinces across Bharat are participating in the meeting. During the inaugural session, Pramukh Karyawahika Sita Gayathri Annadanam Ji presented a comprehensive report on Samiti’s activities and reviewed its various Shiksha Vargs (training programmes).

The Samiti reported significant growth in its outreach, with an increase in the number of shakhas (daily gatherings), milan kendras (meeting centers), districts with active shakhas, and overall service initiatives. Notably, 1,799 new service projects for women have been launched. These initiatives encompass a range of activities including sanskar varg (cultural education), swavalamban (self-reliance) programmes, and arogya yog kendras (health and yoga centers). The organisation is also actively running hostels for girls in remote and challenging areas.

In the year 2025, the Rashtra Sevika Samiti organised 224 training camps across the country, providing training to about 15,273 Sevikas.

A significant focus of the Samiti’s recent work has been the commemoration of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar’s 300th birth anniversary. Over the past year, 4,392 programmes were organised at various locations in her honour, witnessing the participation of more than 151,519 citizens. These commemorative events included temple and river clean-up drives, tree plantation initiatives, dramatic and dance presentations based on Devi Ahilyabai’s life, research paper presentations, elocution contests, and essay competitions. A grand special event titled “Shiv Sankalp Swarnad” was also organised in Maheshwar.

The meeting in Nagpur is being attended by functionaries from various levels of the Samiti and is scheduled to conclude on July 20.
