Varanasi to host youth spiritual summit for “Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat”

The oldest living and spiritual centre of the world is preparing to witness a unique convergence of spiritualism and youth power. The city is ready to host the Youth Spiritual Summit at the Rudraksh Convention Centre. This event is Scheduled for July 18–20 for “Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat” (Drug‑Free Youth for a Developed India) which aims to take Bharat toward a drug‑free future, by engaging the active participation of young minds and spiritual voices.

Organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs in close collaboration with the Education Institutes, Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), social justice institutions and cultural- spiritual organisations from all over India, will host 500 youth representatives from 100 spiritual organizations. Five student delegates from each spiritual organization will be present in summit for three days in Varanasi to discuss, and conceptualize a national strategy against drug addiction.

Union Minister said “Youth are the torchbearers of Amrit Kaal, the path to a Viksit Bharat,” he also emphasises on Prime Minister’s vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047. Bharat’s youth is 65 percent of its population and will drive the development of Viksit Bharat. In recent times, drug substances abuse has threatened to derail this mission by trapping young people and jeopardizing their lives and nation growth.

Historic Declaration of Kashi: Drug Free India

In the summit, participants will unveil the Kashi Declaration. A ground breaking and visionary document that will encapsulate the path and lay out a national roadmap to combat drug addiction. This declaration is more than a documentation, as it is intended to serve as the foundation of a “Jan Andolan” (people’s movement) to aim, identify and eliminate the sources of addiction from the grassroots.

Spiritual Roots and National Action

The decision to organize this summit in Varanasi’s Rudraksh Convention Centre is Maa Ganga presences in city, who is known for washing the Sins. The summit is blending of spiritual awakens and national growth. Organisers has taken inspiration from Swami Vivekananda’s vision of “arise, awake and stop not till the goal is reached” and also believe that spiritual energy has the potential to awake young people towards this mission of Viksit Bharat.

Following the summit, there are series of plans to be executed which will include Grassroots campaigns in schools, colleges and youth clubs. Union Minister has also announced that there will be symbolic padyatra in Kargil on July 26 (Vijay Diwas), to commemorate our martyrs and promotes Fit India movement

Youth Spiritual Summit is not just a conclave, it is a national call to action. It’s a call to students, parents, teachers, spiritual leaders and policy makers to become part of a war against drug addiction. In a country where the youth possess great potential, this summit aims to channelise that energy towards creating a healthier, stronger and drug-free Bharat.
