The fighter jet crashed in Bhanuda village under the Rajaldesar police station area in Rajasthan’s Churu district. Churu Superintendent of Police Jai Yadav confirmed the incident, stating that police teams were sent to the crash site. Severely mutilated body parts were recovered near the wreckage, and a large crater had formed, with debris scattered widely.
Eyewitnesses from Bhanuda village reported a terrifying scene, saying the aircraft was “seen falling from the sky in flames” before crashing into a field near Charanan Mohalla on Sikrali Road. Villagers noted that burning fragments of the jet were scattered within a 200-foot radius, and many locals rushed to the site immediately after the crash.
This is the third Jaguar fighter jet crash involving the Indian Air Force this year. Earlier incidents occurred in Panchkula, Haryana, on March 7, and near Jamnagar, Gujarat, on April 2. The Jaguar, a twin-engine ground-attack aircraft used in both single and twin-seat versions, remains a key component of the IAF fleet despite its age and has undergone several upgrades. Further details from the IAF are awaited.
