The victim testified in court that her father had threatened her, saying if she told anyone, he would kill her brothers.

In what should be the safest haven, the home, a disturbing reality has emerged: Islamists daughters and daughters-in-law are falling victim to heinous acts of exploitation by those who are meant to be their protectors. This collection of incidents reveals a profoundly unsettling pattern where trust is brutally betrayed within the family unit itself. The very bonds of kinship – of father and daughter, father-in-law and daughter-in-law – are being shattered by horrific acts of alleged abuse.

This tragic contradiction highlights a dark underbelly of Islamist society, where the sanctity of the family is violated, leaving victims traumatised and stripped of their fundamental right to safety and dignity within their own four walls. It’s a stark reminder that the fight for justice and protection must extend even into the most intimate spaces, exposing a societal failure that demands urgent and unyielding attention.
