The Kendriya Karya Samithi (KKS) meeting of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) held on May 9, 2025 in a resolution congratulated the Indian Armed Forces for successfully executing Operation Sindoor. The operation effectively demonstrated the Government’s resolve in combating anti-India terrorist forces operating from Pakistan following the Pahalgam terrorist attack. The bravery exhibited by both male and female soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces is commendable.

Hiranmay Pandya, President of BMS, presided over the highest policy-making body, which unanimously passed a resolution in this regard. The KKS meeting has expressed gratitude to Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi for making decisive decisions and demonstrating unwavering political will to combat cross-border terrorism without compromise.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh led the Defence Forces with strategic acumen, while Home Minister Amith Sha effectively ensured internal security. These three leaders’ collective efforts and vision have brought national glory and instilled trust and confidence among the general public.

BMS strongly condemned Pakistan’s dilly-dallying tactics. The Pakistani forces
engaged in heavy shelling of civilian residence areas in the Pooch and Kupwada Districts of the Jammu and Kashmir region. Additionally, they targeted 15 major, densely populated Indian cities in border states, but Indian forces successfully thwarted these attacks. The KKS meeting alleged that Pakistan is creating a war-like situation.

The KKS meeting strongly condemned the sinister designs of Pakistan. It reminded
Pakistan that its conspiracies, including “Operation Topac” and the Kargil conflict, have been successfully neutralised by the Indian military with the unwavering support of the entire country.

At this juncture of heightened Indo-Pakistan tensions, the KKS Meeting of the BMS resolves to stand firmly with the Government of India and the Indian Armed Forces. It also supports the various measures the Government of India will implement to address Pakistan’s aggression.

The KKS strongly felt this was the moment to translate patriotic sentiments into tangible actions. Through a resolution proposed by Pawan Kumar, Northern Zonal Organising Secretary and seconded by 13 State General Secretaries and Federation General Secretaries, directed all its affiliated Unions, Federations, and State units to:

* Postpone all forms of strikes, agitations, demonstrations, and other types of Trade Union actions.
* If necessary, work overtime and increase productivity without taking any overtime charges,
* Raise awareness among workers and the general public on the necessary
precautions to be taken during war-like situations
* Provide all necessary assistance to the Indian Defence Forces.
* Collaborate with district authorities in civil defence works, blood donation programs, local transportation, and other relevant initiatives.
* Organizing Solidarity Programs supporting the Indian Armed Forces at the districtand industry levels.

The resolution passed by BMS reads, “The Kendriya Karya Samithi (KKS) urges all employees to refrain from taking leave unless absolutely necessary. In the event of leave, employees are requested to cancel it and resume their duties promptly.

Several departments and sectors, including Defence, Railways, Civil Aviation,Telecommunication, Health, Power, scientific establishments, State and central government employees, Space employees, Road Transport, and others, will be instrumental in assisting the Defence forces during such occasions. The KKS directs all federations to modify their organisational programs and prioritise this national cause.

Furthermore, the KKS has decided to contact other like-minded nationalist trade unions at various levels to revive “Rashtriya Mazdoor Morcha,” which was established during the wars of 1962, 1965, and 1971 to provide unwavering support to the Government in these endeavours”.

“The BMS felt that the country must stand united with our valiant soldiers at this critical juncture. During the 1962, 1965, and 1971 wars and the Kargil War, the Bharatiya
Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) took such a stand and demonstrated its unwavering national
commitment. We must once again unite as a nation against foreign aggression”, reads the resolution.
