The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) has extended its heartfelt congratulations to the Indian Defence forces and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Operation Sindoor, stating, “Heartfelt congratulations and salutations to the Indian Army and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for successfully avenging the sindoor that was wiped off in the Pahalgam terror attack through Operation Sindoor.”

“By entering jihadi Pakistan and destroying the terror camps, our brave soldiers have made it clear that if anyone harms India, we will not spare them,” it said.

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh, Sunil Ambekar, also said that justice has been served. He stated, “Justice served for the victims of Pahalgam, Operation Sindoor marks the beginning of justice. The nation supports. Jai Hind. Bharat Mata ki Jai.”

The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), too, saluted the forces, asserting, “ABVP salutes the brave warriors of Bharat for the precision and courage shown in Operation Sindoor. Decisive action against terror havens in PoJK reaffirms Bharat’s zero tolerance towards terrorism. The nation stands united — Jai Hind, Vande Mataram!”

Notably, on May 6, 2025, India launched Operation Sindoor, a landmark tri-services strike aimed at dismantling terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu & Kashmir (PoJK). The operation, in response to the April 22 Pahalgam attack, reflected a calibrated doctrine of precision, restraint, and cross-domain deterrence.

The precise strikes carried out by the forces underscores Bharat’s resolve to hold perpetrators of the Pahalgam terror attack accountable where innocent Hindu tourists were targeted and killed by Pakistan backed terrorists.

Indian officials have stated that ‘Operation Sindoor’ involved strikes on a total of nine terrorist targets. Four of these were located in Pakistan’s Punjab province, targeting the headquarters of both JeM and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). The remaining five targets were destroyed in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The operation was executed with precision, utilizing air strikes conducted by the Indian Air Force from within Indian airspace, employing standoff weapons.

According to reports, the Prime Minister himself suggested the name of the operation under which focused strikes were carried out on terror infrastructure sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK).

In a big blow to the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), reports emerging early on May 7 claimed that ten family members of the UN-designated terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed’s chief and mastermind of the Pulwama attack, Masood Azhar, were killed in the Indian strikes on Bahawalpur, Pakistan. These strikes, codenamed ‘Operation Sindoor,’ were a direct retaliation for the deadly Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 lives on April 22.

According to sources, the casualties include Masood Azhar’s sister and his brother-in-law, both of whom were reportedly among those “blown up” in the precision strikes targeting JeM’s headquarters in Bahawalpur, located approximately 100 kilometers from the international border in Pakistan’s Punjab province. Initial reports from Pakistani media had suggested a higher death toll of 14 at Azhar’s residence.
