In a brutal terror attack that shook Pahalgam on April 22, three individuals from the Telugu states lost their lives. Heavily armed terrorists targeted tourist buses near the Point Bank area, opening fire indiscriminately and leaving several dead and injured.

Among the deceased was Manish Ranjan, an Intelligence Bureau Section Officer posted in Hyderabad, Telangana. A native of Bihar, he had travelled to Kashmir with his wife and two children under Leave Travel Concession. He was separated from his family and shot in the head at close range after revealing his identity.

From Andhra Pradesh, two others were killed. Madhusudan Rao, a software engineer from Bengaluru originally hailing from Kavali in Nellore district, was on a holiday with his family. He succumbed to gunfire during the attack.

The third victim, J S Chandramouli, a retired SBI employee from Pandurangapuram in Visakhapatnam, was travelling with his wife and senior citizen friends. Their group had arrived in Jammu on April 18 and was set to return on April 26 after visiting key tourist destinations.
