In a gruesome incident in Bisawar area of Hathras district of Uttar Pradesh, where a 7-year-old girl was raped and subjected to a brutal assault. The accused, identified as an Islamist named Aman Khan, son of Chand Khan, allegedly raped the minor, inflicting serious injuries before leaving her unconscious near a pond.

According to reports, the young girl had gone to a local shop with other children to buy essentials. It was at this moment that Aman Khan lured her away under the threat of a knife. He allegedly took her to an isolated spot near a pond, located nearly 200 meters away from the main market area, where the horrific act took place.

As per eyewitness accounts, the girl screamed for help, but in an effort to silence her, the accused allegedly injured her face cutting her lips and brutally raped her. Following the attack, he left her unconscious and severely wounded.

The other children who had accompanied the victim rushed back to inform her family, prompting a desperate search by her relatives and neighbors. After an intense search, the girl was found bleeding and unconscious near the pond’s boundary. She was immediately rushed to the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Sadabad. Given the severity of her condition, she was referred to Hathras District Hospital and later transferred to JN Medical College at Aligarh Muslim University for further treatment.

Following the crime, Hathras police launched an immediate manhunt to track down Aman Khan. After a relentless overnight search, the police successfully apprehended him on Sunday morning.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Chiranjeev Nath Sinha confirmed the arrest, stating: “A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The accused has been taken into custody and legal action is being pursued.”

While being taken for a medical examination before his court hearing, the accused attempted to escape. According to police reports, he snatched the official firearm of an officer and opened fire. In a swift response, police personnel returned fire, injuring the accused in the leg. He was then admitted to the district hospital for treatment and remains under tight security.

As news of the incident spread, massive protests erupted in Bisawar, with locals demanding swift and strict action against the accused. Outraged by the brutality of the crime, residents shut down markets and gathered in large numbers.

During the protests, some individuals vandalized a nearby religious site, damaging its entrance. Police forces were quickly deployed to restore calm and prevent further escalation of tensions. Authorities have assured the public that law and order will be maintained, and strict legal proceedings will be carried out against the accused.
