Vice-President of Bharat Jagdeep Dhankhar inaugurated the NCC Republic Day Camp 2025 at the Cariappa Parade Ground, Delhi Cantt, with an inspiring address to over 2,000 NCC cadets from across Bharat. In his speech, he emphasised the pivotal role of youth in shaping Bharat’s future, outlining a vision for national transformation rooted in the “PanchPran” (five resolves). These resolves, he said, embody the essence of nation-building and include Social Harmony, Family Enlightenment, Environmental Consciousness, Swadeshi, and Civic Duties.
The Vice-President’s message carried a strong undercurrent of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s (RSS) philosophy, which prioritises nationalism, cultural unity, and a commitment to the motherland. His remarks highlighted the values long championed by the Sangh, emphasising the importance of grassroots patriotism, collective responsibility, and sustainable self-reliance.

The Five Resolves: A blueprint for Bharat’s future

Social Harmony: He described social harmony as the transformative force that converts Bharat’s diversity into a cohesive unity. “Diversity is Bharat’s strength, and its unity is our bedrock,” he said. This reflects the RSS’s ideology of integrating communities under the broader cultural and national identity of Bharat Mata.
Family Enlightenment: Stressing the family as the primary institution of character-building, Dhankhar said, “Family is the nursery where sterling patriotic values are nurtured. When there is unity in the family, the nation becomes stronger.” This aligns with the Sangh’s focus on familial values as the cornerstone of a robust and virtuous society.
Environmental Consciousness: The Vice-President called for protecting, conserving, and healing the environment, drawing on Bharat’s civilisational ethos of reverence for nature. “We do not have another Earth to cohabit. Nurturing our environment is a tribute to Bharat Mata,” he said, invoking the RSS’s longstanding commitment to ecological sustainability as an extension of cultural nationalism.
Swadeshi and Self-Reliance: Advocating for Atmanirbhar Bharat, Dhankhar said, “Swadeshi and self-reliance are the symbols of Bharat’s economic strength. Every citizen must contribute to this vision.” This directly resonates with the RSS’s emphasis on promoting indigenous products, self-reliance, and economic independence as essential to national pride.
Civic Duties: Emphasising the Constitution’s fundamental duties, Dhankhar noted, “We are conscious of our rights, but equally important are our duties. Nationalism blossoms when citizens prioritise their civic responsibilities.” This mirrors the Sangh’s narrative of individual responsibility toward society and the nation.
The Vice-President praised the NCC for instilling discipline, unity, and a “Nation First” approach among the youth. He noted that the cadets, drawn from every corner of the country, represented Bharat’s cultural and geographic diversity. “Your discipline and commitment fill not just me but the entire nation with pride,” he said, adding that the NCC exemplifies gender equality through its increasing representation of young women.
He encouraged the cadets to uphold these values as a tribute to the motherland, stating, “No nation can grow unless its citizens are deeply committed to nationalism. Nationalism must override all other interests—personal or organisational.”
Dhankhar highlighted Bharat’s transformation over the past decade, describing it as a period of unprecedented growth and optimism. He cited examples of infrastructure development, such as constructing four airports and one metro system annually, and the nation’s technological advancement, with 6.5 billion digital transactions occurring monthly.
“We are no longer a nation with potential. We are a nation rising unmatched, envied by the world, and positively impacting every citizen,” he remarked. This aligns with the RSS’s vision of Bharat as a self-reliant global leader grounded in its cultural roots.
Addressing the cadets as representatives of Bharat’s demographic dividend, the Vice-President expressed confidence in their ability to steer the nation toward its centenary vision. “Our developed nation vision for 2047 is no longer a dream but a certain destination. You are the architects of this glory,” he said.
He encouraged the youth to seize expanding opportunities as global institutions increasingly view Bharat as a prime investment destination. “This success has been achieved through infrastructure growth, technological advancements, and the creation of an ecosystem where every young mind can realise their potential,” he noted.
The Vice-President urged cadets to remain vigilant against anti-national forces and safeguard Bharat’s democratic values. “Our dedication to the motherland must be steadfast, unflinching, and unshakeable. It is the bedrock of our existence,” he asserted.

He further warned that Bharat’s rise has drawn challenges, as its growth is globally acknowledged and admired. “This rise, incremental over the past decade, is the envy of the world. It is our duty to protect it,” he said.
