Punjab, literally meaning the region of five rivers, has been an integral part of the Indian history and has been famous for its tradition of knowledge and bravery. Where Vedic knowledge used to flow along with the water of the rivers, over time Gurbani became the source of the flow of knowledge. Punjab gave India the knowledge of ‘Guru-Disciple tradition’ and the Indian nation, by accepting the Ideological teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, changed their worship system as per their wish. This is the reason that Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is the knowledge centre of the Gurus, saints and great men of the entire Indian nation, who always gave a positive direction to the society and made it prosperous.
The very first word of Gurbani ੴ (Ek Omkar) became the basis for uniting the society and taught to worship the formless, infinite, eternal God and taught to find God within oneself. Devotee Pipa Ji writes about this stream of knowledge in Raga Dhanasari on Ang (page) 695 of Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji-
Jo Brahmande So Hi Pinde, Jo Khojen So Paave. Pipa Pranvai Tatu Hai, Satguru Hoye Lakhawe.
Over time, India’s ten Guru tradition remained at the forefront in sacrificing themselves as per the demand of destiny and inspired themselves as well as the entire family on the path of sacrifice in order to establish social harmony and to unite the Indian nation. In which the martyrdom of the four sons of the tenth Guru, c is unforgettable. At the age, when children play with toys, the Sahibzaads defeated the Mughals with weapons and holy scriptures. By sacrificing themselves, they preached to the youth of the society to work with alertness towards the nation so that the sacred land of the Indian nation could be freed from the atrocities of Babar’s descendants.
But the present young generation of the 21st century has forgotten the words like religion, society and patriotism by considering them as history and is wasting its life under the burden of a fake life. The burden of misleading the generation of that society is on a disease called Wokeism, which literally means to be awake or to remain awake. During racism in western countries, the woke front against white people by black people was named Woke Rally. Later on, this woke front was also the medium of ideological propaganda by leftist thinkers, whether it is against capitalism or nationalism and their practise continues till now in the name of Wokeism.
The most Important unit of any nation, the family, is the target of this Wokeism. Dividing joint families into nuclear families in the name of ideological freedom and reducing mutual love or trust is the first step of this disease. Punjab, where the entire life of the Gurus revolved around service and sacrifice, today in the same Punjab families are breaking up due to the desire to run away to foreign countries and addiction.
A person’s first school is his family, from where he starts his life journey with the realization of social elements and his first Guru is his mother. The verse of Gurbani describing the importance of the Guru is something like this-
Gurmukh naadam Gurmukh vedam Gurmukh rahiya samaai, Gur Isar, Gur Gorkha Barma Parvati mai.
Meaning- The face of the Guru is the word, the face of the Guru is the knowledge of Vedas and the omnipresent is contained in the face of the Guru and the glory of the Guru is like Ishwar, Gorakhnath, Brahma and Mother Parvati.
But the ideology called Wokeism spread the fog of social discrimination in such a way that family relations and affection remained only words.
Punjab, the place where purusharth(manliness) flows in the veins along with the blood. From education in the ashram of Bhagwan Valmiki to the Gurbani of medieval India, everything was centered on this purusharth (manliness). As a result of which, the society was shown the right direction from time to time, even if it meant self-sacrifice. Punjabi society never let its dedication diminish. But in today’s artificial world of social media, a human born as a man wants to gain fame by transforming himself into a woman. There are many such examples in Punjab, whose continuous flow has also come to be called the seventh river of Punjab. This seventh river of Wokeism is more deadly than the sixth river of addiction, which creates social discord at the family level and breaks the family first and then the society. The direct impact of the breakdown of society weakens the nation, which is being taken advantage of by anti-national forces. On the same lines, conversions are also happening very fast in Punjab.
The tenth guru, Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj expressed his mental direction on the martyrdom of his four sons like this-
Inn Putan ke sis par vaar diye sut char, char muye to kya hua jivat kai hazaar
His intention was that the effect of their sacrifice would prepare the whole of Punjab for the protection of the nation and that happened at that time. But with the passage of time, the martyrdom of Guru Maharaj Ji was remembered but his teachings were forgotten. Due to which Punjab became a puppet of anti-national forces and started dividing its own nation. Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj had also told about the effect of atrocities of Mughals on entire India (Hindustan), similarly at the time of Khalsa Creation, devotees from different corners of India had gathered, the first five beloved ones are an example of this, who belonged to different places of India.
But the political equations were such that Punjab started moving away from its real history and today’s Punjab feels proud in joining the foreign faith and not in its martyrdom-filled history. If every native of Punjab(Punjabi) adopts Gurbani in his life, only then Punjab can be freed from foreign conspiracies and made a prosperous nation again.
