Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) surpassed its previous membership record by reaching 5,512,470 members this year. ABVP National General Secretary, Yagywalkya Shukla, presented the organisational report, in which he announced the record-breaking membership of 55,12,470 members of ABVP across Bharat this year, during the 70th ABVP National Conference in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.

Outgoing ABVP National General Secretary, Yagywalkya Shukla, stated, “ABVP’s consistent activism has gained the trust of students by successfully raising students’ issues across all the education institutions in the country. ABVP has significantly addressed concerns related to issues in educational institutions to support a bright future for students studying there. ABVP is committed towards women’s safety and empowerment within educational institutions fostering female leadership. These efforts have been significant in creating a supportive environment for women in academia.”

Meanwhile,on November 21, a grand exhibition named after the revered sant Mahant Avaidyanath was inaugurated at Devi Ahilyabai Nagar during the 70th National Convention of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP). The inauguration was done by the Chief Guest, Vice President of Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) and General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, Champat Rai ji, along with the Vice-Chancellor of Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University, Prof. Poonam Tandon.

The exhibition prominently displays the contributions of Mahant Avaidyanath to India’s freedom struggle and the Ram Temple movement, along with the invaluable role of the Maharana Pratap Shiksha Parishad, established by him in 1932 in Gorakhpur for the revival of the Indian education system. Additionally, the exhibition features archives related to the Indian freedom movement, showcasing the victory stories of freedom fighters and the exemplary governance model established by Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar. The rich Indian culture and festivals are also depicted through various artworks displayed at the exhibition. This grand ABVP exhibition is divided into seven sections with 14 galleries, featuring a total of 274 artworks.
