In the year 2006, a husband-wife duo, Aditya and Mrs Sujatha Seshadrinathan embarked on a journey to bring international financial services to Bharat. With backgrounds in finance and IT, both had been working abroad for several years. Aditya, a finance professional had vast experience in the international fund administration industry. Motivated by a desire to contribute to India’s financial sector, he established ‘Basiz Fund’ to offer specialised fund administration and financial services. Sujatha, bringing her IT expertise, played a pivotal role in managing the technical aspects of the company.

The goal of Baziz was to popularise and expand financial services within Bharat. However, the journey was full of challenges. Within two years, Basiz began to face financial difficulties, and the company’s funds started running out. Despite these setbacks, Aditya and Sujatha continued their efforts with full dedication. In 2018, the company received private equity investment which was the turning for Basiz.

Today, Basiz Fund stands as a leading player in the global fund administration and financial reporting sector, managing assets worldwide. Over the last 19 years, the company has expanded its services to include fund administration, fund investment, hedge funds, and private equity funds. With four offices in Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Tripura, Basiz has established itself as a key player in the industry.

In December 2021, Basiz Fund signed an MoU with the Government of Tripura. The company also became the first to honour this agreement by setting up an office in Tripura in July 2022. The office was inaugurated by CM Dr Manik Saha, marking a new chapter in Basiz Fund’s journey.

Beyond business, Basiz Fund and its founders are committed to social responsibility. The Sujata Sesh Foundation, an NGO established by the duo is actively involved in various social causes. The foundation focuses on providing education to underprivileged children, empowering women, promoting water conservation, and addressing other critical social issues.
