Congress-JMM government of Jharkhand engaged spy behind Champai Soren; 2 detained in Delhi: Himanta Biswa Sarma

Guwahati: The Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma voiced worries about the deputation of spy behind Champai Soren, the former chief minister of Jharkhand by the Congress JMM state government. Senior JMM leader Soren has  chosen to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the next few days. Soren intends to change his party affiliation, but he is still a minister in the Jharkhand administration, according to Chief Minister Sarma.

Soren, who had travelled to Delhi twice, on August 26 and a week earlier, was apparently observed by the Special Branch Police of Jharkhand on both occasions. CM Sarma brought up the fact that Soren booked rooms at the Taj Hotel both times. On August 27, however, it became known that Soren had purportedly been followed by two Special Branch Police officers while he was there. Delhi Police nabbed two Special Branch employees who they believed were following Soren’s whereabouts. Soren went to a police station in Delhi and filed an FIR. Delhi Police is currently in charge of the two Jharkhand police special branch officers.

According to reports, the detained police acknowledged that they had been tasked with keeping an eye on Soren’s whereabouts in Delhi and Jharkhand by senior police officials on the instruction of the state government. Concerns have increased in response to this news, since CM Sarma has speculated that Soren’s phone might possibly be being watched. CM Sarma stated during a media briefing in Guwahati that although the Congress talks about saving the Indian constitution, they, along with JMM, are killing it. One of the largest political espionage instances in Indian history is the Congress JMM government in Jharkhand violating the privacy of a tribal chieftain, CM.Sarma alleged.
