Greedy political forces, individuals, industrialists, and left-wing Islamic outfits seek to take control of the world. Their strength is financial power, and they use various strategies in different geographical locations to conquer the thinking of the people of that nation by eroding its culture, practices, and unity. The conflict is being fought not just across boundaries but also on an intellectual level, particularly through social media, with a deceptive attitude. “Wokeism” is one of the methods used to fight this battle, and as a nation, we are suffering greatly due to this infectious disease.
What do you mean by wokeism, and how does it work?
“Woke” culture consists of people who are genuinely quite uneducated yet believe they are the most knowledgeable people on the earth. They believe they are aware of social issues but have been trained to believe falsehoods. They are completely unaware of anything and simply accept propaganda without research. A “woke” individual has to seriously work on their IQ, EQ and SQ. It is because the Woke Left, a cult, is an incredibly prejudiced and contradictory collection of views espoused by leftists under the cover of “equality”, “diversity”, and “inclusion”. The woke left attacks anyone who disagrees with them.
Marxism/Communism Woke are religious, not political, systems. Religion is intended to demolish any existing system of cultural or political order, and it will finally self-destruct. Wokeism inhibits and prevents the investigation of fresh ideas. It stands as a moral army, and in the name of diversity, it prevents the diversity of thinking. It positions itself as the pinnacle of justice without understanding the circumstances. It generalises the cause of each felony committed and seeks an on-demand judgment without information. Individuals who support “woke” beliefs frequently jump to judgment without fully understanding the nuances of the issues. Individuals must thoroughly research subjects before forming an opinion. Furthermore, there is a discernible trend among the “woke” to avoid accountability and rely on untrustworthy sources of information. Despite their enthusiasm, they occasionally cling to disinformation, which is troubling.
It is reflected in the Marxist-Islamist alliance in India’s leading colleges. It has created an environment of hostility toward the main Hindu community and other Indic minorities. Such tales have marketed woke propaganda, demonising everything about Sanatan Dharma. Woke culture believes it is OK to criticise Hindu Dharm and its way of life via pop culture, fake narratives, and social media.
The development of wokeism as a major challenge of the modern day necessitates a thorough assessment of its impact on Bharatiya society. It is not only about adopting Western ideals but also about how these concepts are exploited to further objectives that are not always in the best interests of our nation. There is a risk that if we are not careful, these woke narratives may progressively erode the roots of our cultural identity.
More concerning is how global market forces have aligned with this woke society. These woke narratives appear to have been commodified and made into a trading product. Those most loud about promoting these myths frequently benefit financially and socially. However, the larger issue is that these woke narratives frequently attempt to monopolise the narrative space. They don’t only want to highlight problems or injustices; they want to be the sole creators of the narrative that the public consumes. Their goal is to dominate the narrative so that people are forced to accept their viewpoint. This phenomenon is not exclusive to India; it is a global concern. It is about manipulating narratives, weaponising language, and subtly expanding ideological hegemony. It is about how dominant narratives can impact public opinion in a digitally linked world, even if they are not factual or fair.
Let us divide these organisations into three major groupings based on their working style and the social strata they engage as a weapon
- The Neo-Left: They are political actors. Examples include EVM machines, dictatorships, Shaheen Bagh, farm legislation protests, and anti-CAA protests.
- Cultural Marxism: It refers to cultural warfare. Hindu bashing is a fundamental component of their activity. They are seen everywhere, from mocking Hindu festivals, Diwali, Holy, Jallikattu, and Sabarimala racus to supporting Burqa, Halala and Church superstitious activities and propaganda.
- Wokeism: It is psychological warfare. In his book Marxification of Education, the well-known anti-woke campaigner James Lindsay discusses radicalised young power. He cites: “Their energies are not being used but been radically misused.”
All OTT platforms have the same themes on repeat: caste, gender, Islamophobia, etc. In India, it has already emerged as an electoral force. Most secularly educated and sociopolitically active Indians today are aware of a phenomenon known as Woke Culture or Wokeism, which is sweeping politics/politicians, universities, colleges, and the general public across democratic India, dominating new-age popular culture.
Bharat may be the only country in the world where Macaulay’s education system systematically trains its residents to despise their culture and civilisation while naively praising anything alien. We grew up reading school textbooks in which every “foreign intervention,” from Islamic invasions to the British colonial empire, was credited with making Bharat culturally rich, modern, and patriotic. Conversely, any mention of ancient Bharat’s greatness and achievements has been dismissed as a conspiracy theory.
Humanities and social sciences education, particularly in Bharat, has been hijacked by woke left-wing forces. That is why activities criticising Hindu Dharma and making false claims about the Hindu faith and Hindutva have become popular in Indian academics. The primary goal of left-wing Islamic woke groups is to divide Hindus based on caste. Dalits and other underprivileged caste students are taught to despise Hindu culture and its rituals. “Bharat tere tukade honge,” Ravan is the true god, and casteist slogans in Haryana’s Ashoka University demonstrate how these forces are working to destabilise unity by eroding the culture that believes in “Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam.” They are undermining our national spirit. Global market forces, many Christian missionaries, and left-wing Islamic organisations are all attempting to dismantle this wonderful nation.
These are just a few examples of anti-Hindu bigotry and propaganda that have spread on the campuses of elite Bhartiya colleges. Given the open-ended character of the humanities and social sciences curriculum, it is relatively easy to disseminate a variety of divisive, violent, and anti-national movements and ideas under the guise of exposing students to many perspectives.
The intellectual Kshatriyas should step forward and work on any fake narrative created by these wokes. It is time to work in colleges and universities to make our brilliant kids and young people aware of the dangers of woke culture.
