In a tragic incident, a farmer named Bojadla Prabhakar committed suicide by consuming pesticides after a prolonged land dispute with local congress leaders left him feeling hopeless. The incident took place in Khammam district, where Prabhakar owned 7.10 acres of agricultural land.

As per reports, 3.10 acres out of 7.10 acres of land, was occupied by local Congress leaders. Recently, Prabhakar had invested approximately Rs. 8 lakhs to cultivate his land, which is adjacent to a village pond. However, four days ago, Congress leaders removed soil from Prabhakar’s farm using two JCBs and two bulldozers, claiming the soil had been dumped into the pond. Despite Prabhakar’s complaints to the Tehsildar, SSI, and Irrigation Officers, who inspected the land and instructed the society members not to remove the soil, the society continued its actions unabated.

Feeling powerless and aggrieved, Prabhakar, along with his father, visited the Khammam Collectorate on Monday to lodge a complaint with the Collector and CP during a public grievances meeting. However, Prabhakar was unable to meet the Collector, further deepening his despair. He informed his father that he would return after lunch but instead went to Cherukuri Garden on Gollagudem – Kottagudem road in Khammam with a can of insecticide.

In the video, he stated that he had voted for Congress with the hope that it would improve the lives of farmers. However, he expressed his disappointment with Congress’s governance and mentioned that he does not want farmers in the state to suffer the same fate.  He also stated that he had faced injustice under the Congress government, which claims to be a ‘farmer’s regime.’ He urged Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka to respond and ensure justice for his family.

The tragic suicide of a farmer in Khammam district, the constituency of Deputy CM is appalling and heart-wrenching.

His land was encroached by leaders of the corrupt @INCIndia. One more farmer falls prey to CONgress's insatiable greed.

Reacting to this suicide, BRS party accused that Congress leaders’ atrocities are increasing in Telangana villages.
