Shortly after the Hindenberg report on Adani Group, which eventually was proved to be a hit job, came out, George Soros, one of the alleged masterminds, of regime change games worldwide, had stated with much fanfare that the Hindenberg report on Adani Group would ‘significantly weaken Modi’s stranglehold on India’s federal government’. He had further stated, ‘I may be naive, but I expect a democratic revival in India’. For those, who had doubts over apprehensions of foreign interference by agents of regime change, in internal affairs of India, were finally put to rest by this statement.
Unleashing Anti-National Agenda
After the statement by George Soros, it became evidently clear that the ultimate objective of the Hindenberg report, and many other such documents, was to target the Modi Government. It had little to do with anything else.
Yet, this was not the first time. Since 2014, there have been numerous incidents which point fingers towards purported attempts to often amplify local incidents, projects and highlight them in a manner that would put the Modi Government in a negative frame globally. A powerful syndicate of Western media, foreign or foreign funded NGOs and some major political faces in India’s opposition parties apparently worked together in it. From the infamous ‘Intolerance’ debate, to ‘Award Wapsi’ drama, from fake reportage on abolition of reservation, to Rohit Vemulla case, from Dadri to Hathras, and even the case of Ranaghat Nun rape case, deliberate attempts have been made to colour each incident to pin down Modi Government and project Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh(RSS), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as ‘fascist’. It was as if such incidents, though unfortunate, never happen in Western Europe, US or China.
No Apology for Concocted Narratives
Incidentally, in case of the most horrible case of Ranaghat Nun Rape case in West Bengal, without any evidence, it was alleged that the people with allegiance to saffron camp were involved in it. Desperate attempts were made to give a religious colour to the incident, and project the Modi Government as ‘anti-Christian’. When the truth eventually came out that the crime was committed by a gang of Bangladeshi robbers, the cabal fell silent. Not even an apology was offered for wrong allegations. They simply moved on to another story.
Projecting Terrorist As Icon
Also, in the same league, who can forget how the Cabal tried to project Burhan Wani as an ‘icon’ instead of a terrorist? Who can forget how the anti-India slogans at JNU were projected as ‘Voices of Democracy’, even though from top to bottom it was stinking of hate-filled secessionist agenda?
The list of such incidents is long. However, the most critical element in each of these incidents has been how a syndicate of Western publications, and their cohorts in India, the cabal of Leftist pseudo-liberal gangs, would resort to a swarm attack mode to pound on Modi Government, and push a concocted narrative. It was incidentally the same cabal which for long romanticised Maoist violence, pushed the narrative that Indian Armed Forces are at fault in Kashmir, and that industrialisation is ‘anti-tribal’.
Desperate attempts were made to give a religious colour to Ranaghat Nun Rape case in Bengal and project Modi Government as anti-Christian. When the truth eventually came out that the crime was committed by Bangladeshi robbers, the Cabal fell silent
Then came the time for the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections. At a time, when after almost a hiatus of ten long years of UPA, (when policy paralysis had almost stagnated India’s military modernisation programme), the Modi Government had just embarked on an ambitious programme to procure modern weapon systems for its Armed Forces, a vicious campaign was started by India’s leading opposition party, on the Rafale deal for the Indian Air Force. The allegations ran wild, often with no substance, and connected to ground realities. Here too, it was quite evident how a section of Western media was covering the whole issue through a coloured prism that was aimed at vilifying the Modi Government, to falsely accuse him of corruption, so that somehow the mood of voters could be tilted against him. However, this too failed. Eventually the deal got a clean chit from the Supreme Court.
Propaganda to sully Modi’s Image after 2014
- Minority Not Safe (Fact is that, minority is the biggest beneficiary of Modi’s policy)
- Modi Promoting Hindutva (The fact is that Modi has only revived few Mandirs and Dharmik places ignored by Congress)
- Dalits Are Being Marginalised (People from SC, ST and OBC have been immensely empowered under the Modi Govt. in the last 10 years)
- No Job for Youth (In the last 10 years, the Modi Govt. has generated more than 10 crore jobs)
In the post 2019 election era, when Modi Government went on a spree to enact several critical legislations including abrogation of Article 370, passing of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), banning of Instant Triple Talaq, the same cabal aided by the Western media tried to project Modi Government as ‘anti-minority’, ‘majoritarian’, and often used their favourite terms to justify regime change, i.e. ‘fascist’.
That the abrogation of Article 370, and J&K’s eventual integration with India, ensured J&K’s large Dalit population, hitherto deprived of all Government funded social benefits for over half a century, could now avail the same. That Muslim women of India, traumatised for decades by the dreaded words of ‘Talaq -Talaq-Talaq’, would now have legal recourse for justice. CAA had nothing to do with Indian Muslims, but was all about giving Indian citizenship to marginalised and persecuted minorities of Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. But this did not matter to them.
From Anti-CAA Violence to Anti-Farm Law Protests
The anti-CAA violence that ravaged parts of Delhi in early 2020, and unleashed anarchy kind of situation in many other parts of the country, was orchestrated through a fine cocktail of disinformation to create a sense of insecurity among Indian Muslims, mobilising radical Islamist elements to resort to arson and targeted violence, and reportage that was mostly partial, which falsely blamed Modi Government and not the arsonists. The Delhi violence was carefully timed to coincide with the visit of then US President Trump in India, a time when any incident of civil disturbance in the capital of India would trigger instant attention worldwide.
The anti-CAA violence was followed by anti-Farm Law protests that exhibited similar patterns of orchestrated violence, siege of the capital of India, and creation of an impression of anarchy. Here, too, some path breaking farm laws that were intended to unshackle the Indian farming community from the stranglehold of middlemen, were deliberately misinterpreted. Through an organised disinformation campaign, the farming communities of Punjab, Haryana, and Western UP, were mobilised to protest against the Modi Government. Eventually, the protests witnessed a complete hijacking by rabble rousers and Khalistani elements, who resorted to the most condemnable acts of sacrilegious violence in Delhi on January 26th, 2021.
On both occasions of anti-CAA as well as anti-Farm Law protests, the violence organised in Delhi had similar patterns of attempting to provoke law enforcement agencies in a manner that they would be compelled to retaliate brutally to quell the lawlessness and destruction of lives and properties. At least, that was the anticipation of the planners perhaps.
Understanding Masterminds of Protest
The police did take action but the Modi Government, even in the face of grave provocations, ensured that no bullets were to be fired at the protestors. The reason being that India’s security planners by then had understood the trajectory the masterminds of such protests wanted the events to take. By not firing at protesters, and thereby ensuring no fatalities, deprived the deep-state masterminds the opportunity to create an Arab Spring type of civil war situation in India that would have further got ravaged by vicious Op-Eds in foreign newspapers aimed at pinning down Modi Government, and giving clarion calls to UN, EU and US for ‘sanctions’, ‘boycott’, ‘severance of diplomatic ties’, ‘Ban on Foreign Investments’ and finally, excuse for ‘Direct Foreign Intervention’. But sadly for them, the Modi Government’s patience in dealing with such unruly elements put a spanner on all such plans.
Even though Modi Government did not allow use of firepower to quell the violent protests, its law enforcement agencies, however, sprung quickly into action to arrest key players, unravel the deeper plots, choke the flow of funds, suspend FCRA licence of such NGOs working as conduits and followed them up by launching major crackdowns across the country. From banning PFI to dismantling the entire network of Amrit Pal Singh, from major ED actions against money laundering syndicates, to letting the social media giants know that henceforth if their platforms were to be used for orchestrating violent mayhem in the country, there would be consequences. The actions were quick and decisive.
However, the regime change agents did not give up. Several more hit-jobs targeted at discrediting Modi Government’s deft management of COVID-19 crisis, to maligning Indian industrial giants, to bringing out misleading reports to portray India in negative colours, even when India performed much better than the rest, deliberately pushing North-South divide narrative, further triggering divisions in society by pitting one caste against the other, were all tried. However, none got the foreign syndicates the kind of traction and results that were good enough to create prolonged anarchy type situations, which could eventually turn India into a collapsing state, to their liking. This would have helped them to bring a more compliant regime in power, as it did in Ukraine.
Misleading Reports to target Bharat
- Religious Report
The US, where the President takes oath on Bible, leave no stone unturned to raise the issue of Minority in Bharat. However, this grim fact is that the indigenous Black community is always on the radar of White people. According to a report, Black, Indigenous people 4 to 5 times are more likely than Whites to be stopped by Montreal Police in the US - Funding Leftist media organisations
Many West media organisations, owned by the state, influence people in Bharat through their biased reporting. Also many Leftists Organisations are funded by the West and Leftist Organisations like Open Society Foundation. - Democratic Report
By using concocted reports like ‘Democracy is on decline in India’, the West creates havocs in Indian society. This is how the West influence the Left-leaning political parties. - Malafied report
Since 2014, Bharat has continuously witnessed bogus report on GDP growth prediction, targeting of Dharmik organisations, fake report on national security and creating misunderstanding in society.
However, to the good fortune of India, Modi Government’s deft handling of internal security and cutting-edge diplomatic outreach, ensured that India did not become another victim of dubious games of regime change agents. Else, India would have been reduced to a Syria, destroyed by regime-change scheme driven civil war, or Ukraine, reduced to a proxy, and left to fight a losing battle against Russia that Global North countries of Western hemisphere themselves would never dare to fight.
There are many reasons why the regime-change games initiated since 2014 did not work here. In the first place, Modi Government did not fall in their trap, or get provoked. It kept its focus on governance and development, thereby ensuring to lift 25 crore people out of multidimensional poverty, and catapult Indian economy from among the ‘Fragile Five’ economies in 2013, to among the ‘Major Five’ economies of the world. PM Modi’s personal connect with people is unparalleled. People have seen how he spearheaded India’s phoenix-like rise through the tumultuous phase of COVID-19 pandemic, by providing more than 200 crore of free vaccines and additional free rations to more than 80 crore people. They trusted him. The cabal could not break that trust.
Secondly, social media has its limits. Disinformation warfare may work in smaller countries. However in a country like India, it may create some ripple in some places for some time, but not a perpetual one. It is a country where with every 50 kilometres, dialects and priorities change. Here, an Op-Ed in The New York Times, or a trend in Twitter, has zero relevance for most of 1.4 billion people. Artificially enhancing online views with use of bot farms would not impact them.
Last but not the least is the deep-rooted sense of nationalism and cultural connection that work as an invisible umbilical cord that binds Indians with the idea of India. India may be a nation of arguments and agitations by nature, but people would never take either of those to the level where it destroys the core ethos of the nation. This is where agents of regime change faltered, and could never understand India. No wonder, that both culture and nationalism are anathema for such syndicates, who know all too well how each of these acts as a glue to connect people with Bharat. And no wonder why George Soros is investing billions of dollars to fight this very ‘Nationalism’. Beware India.
However, as India becomes more Aatmanirbhar, strive to become Voice of Global South, seek reforms in multilateral institutions, and as Indians become proud of their roots, embed it with modernity and progress, the Cabal would feel insecure and would try to strike time and again. The Cabal wants an Bharat perpetually embroiled in internal feuds so that it can never challenge the West or China. They want an India that would run as per their whims, and follow their instructions. It is time for India to remain more vigilant against such Cabals, and of those in India, who still hope to return to power with help of foreign interference.
