Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu, the Member of Parliament from Srikakulam who was inducted into the Modi 3.0 cabinet, emerged as an early advocate for menstrual health education and sex education within the Parliament. Furthermore, he actively campaigned for the abolishment of GST on sanitary pads.

A Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Member of Parliament representing Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, he took oath as a member of the Modi 3.0 Government on June 9. At 36 years old, he is one of the youngest ministers in Prime Minister Modi’s Cabinet.

Following the attainment of his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Long Island University, Ram Mohan, son of former Union Minister and TDP leader K Yerran Naidu, commenced his professional journey in Singapore. However, he left his job and joined politics after his father died in a road accident in 2012.

At the age of 26, Ram Mohan contested and emerged victorious in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Srikakulam, making him the second-youngest MP to be elected that year. He was honoured with the Sansad Ratna Award in 2020 for his extraordinary performance as an MP.

Despite challenging circumstances, including the arrest of TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu in the skill development scam, Ram Mohan fulfilled his duties as the TDP national general secretary.

The TDP leader was among the earliest to advocate menstrual health and sex education in Parliament. He also spearheaded campaigns for the elimination of GST on sanitary pads.

In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Ram Mohan secured victory from Srikakulam with an impressive margin of over 3.27 lakh votes.

Narendra Modi was sworn in for his third consecutive term as Prime Minister, alongside 72 ministers, at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The ceremony marked the beginning of a new chapter in India’s leadership, reaffirming Modi’s mandate and the Government’s commitment to the nation’s progress.
