Yet another case of Hindu girl forcefully getting converted to Islam has come to light in Pakistan. Here, Shanti was forcefully converted and given a new name Fatima by the abductors. All of them belong to the Muslim community.
Shanti was abducted in late October or early November and soon after her abduction the news was spread that she married a Muslim man voluntarily and became Fatima.
She was made to confidently state this in court and in informal conversations that her actions were entirely out of her own free will. However, recent claims of forced conversion have emerged, casting doubt on her story and sparking heated debate.

Shanti’s decision to convert to Islam and marry was documented in court statements and supported by her conversion and marriage certificates. Photos and videos from the time show her looking happy and free, reinforcing her claims of voluntary conversion. Social media posts from a local Sindhi individual provide additional evidence, painting a picture of a woman who made her choices with confidence and joy.

However, eight months later, the true story has come to light. Shanti’s love marriage, which initially seemed consensual and joyous, turns out to be a case of forced conversion.
This sudden change raises several questions about the authenticity of the law and order in the country and how Islamists threaten the women.
Her father alleges that Shanti was kidnapped by Nazeer Kumbhar, claiming that she suffered great oppression and injustice.
Moreover, it is crucial to address the misinformation regarding Shanti’s age. The case needs thorough investigations but citing the past instances it is clear that the accused will get clean chit from the courts and the administration.
