CSIR UGC NET 2024 June registration deadline extended till May 27; know how to register here

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the last date to register for CISR UGC NET June 2024 Exam till May 27, 2024. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their application form along with the required documents on the official website at csirnet.nta.ac.in.

As per the revised schedule, NTA will open the application form correction facility for CSIR UGC NET June 2024 from May 29 to May 31, 2024. The June session exam is scheduled to be held on June 25, 26 and June 27, 2024 and the admit card is expected to be released at least a week before the exam date.

To be eligible for the CSIR UGC NET, you need to have at least 55 per cent marks in BTech, BE, BPharm, MBBS, BS (four years), Integrated BS-MS/MSc degree or equivalent qualification from any recognised university. The minimum mark required for reserved category candidates is 50 per cent.

In addition to this, you must not be over the age of 30 years by June 01, 2024. Candidates from OBC/SC/ST/PwD/Third gender categories and women applicants will get a relaxation of 5 years. There is no age limit to apply for the post of Lectureship (LS)/ Assistant Professor through CSIR NET 2024.

Those who meet the above-mentioned eligibility criteria can submit their applications for CSIR UGC NET June 2024 by following the steps mentioned below:

Step 1: Visit the official website of CSIR UGC NET at csirnet.nta.ac.in.

Step 2: From the homepage, click on the “Joint CSIR NET June 2024: Click Here to Register/Login” link available in the latest news section.

Step 3: Create your account by entering the details as required and log in using your credentials.

Step 4: Fill out the application form and pay the required fee through debit, credit or net banking means.

Step 5: Review the details carefully and submit the form to complete the process.

Step 6: Take a printout of the application form for future reference.

Candidates who belong to the general category have to pay an application fee of INR 1100 for CSIR NET June 2024, while the application fee is INR 600 for EWS/OBC-non creamy layer and INR 325 for SC/ST & Third Gender category candidates. Those who belong to PwD category are exempted from paying any application fee.

NTA conducts the CSIR UGC NET Exam to determine the eligibility for ‘Junior Research Fellowship and appointment as Assistant Professor’ and ‘admission to PhD programs in Indian universities and colleges. The exam is held in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode twice a year (June and December) in various exam centers across India.
