The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) has vehemently condemned purported plans by Rahul Gandhi to replace the Ram Mandir with a Babri Masjid. Labelling such intentions as a “daydream,” the VHP asserts that such a scheme will not materialise.

Dr Surendra Jain, the International Joint Secretary of the Vishva Hindu Parishad, has asserted that Former Congress leader Acharya Pramod Krishnam disclosed the alleged plan.

According to Acharya Pramod Krishnam, Rahul Gandhi allegedly articulated in a closed-door meeting with his confidants that if the Congress were to ascend to power, they would establish a commission to annul the Supreme Court’s verdict on the Ram Mandir issue, drawing parallels to the controversial overturning of the Shah Bano case during Rajiv Gandhi’s tenure.

While speaking to the media, Acharya Pramod Krishnam asserted, “I have spent more than 32 years in the Congress and when the Ram Mandir decision came, Rahul Gandhi in a meeting with his close aides said that after the Congress govt is formed, they will form a superpower commission and will overturn the Ram Mandir decision just like Rajiv Gandhi overturned the Shah Bano decision.”

According to Dr Surendra Jain, the revelation suggests that Rahul Gandhi intends to construct a Babri Masjid in place of the Ram Mandir, even if it requires amending the Supreme Court’s verdict akin to the Shah Bano case.

Dr Surendra Jain characterised this intent as deeply concerning, indicating a disregard for millions of Bhagwan Ram devotees. He further highlighted the historical antagonism displayed by I.N.D.I Alliance members allegedly involved in violence against kar sevaks in Ayodhya and the burning alive of 59 kar sevaks in Godhra.

Dr Surendra Jain called upon Ram devotees to thwart these “anti-Ram” and “anti-national” conspiracies through their votes. Emphasizing the critical importance of casting ballots to safeguard national interests, the VHP underscores its resolute commitment to upholding the sanctity of Ram Janmabhoomi and preserving India’s cultural heritage against perceived threats.
