In Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district, three terrorists were killed during an encounter with security forces. The operation was initiated after security personnel received intelligence about the presence of terrorists in the Redwani area of Kulgam. The encounter lasted for several hours, leading to the neutralization of the militants, whose identities are yet to be confirmed.

This development comes amid heightened tensions in the region following a series of attacks. Security agencies had widened their search operations to Kathua district after a village defence guard was killed in an encounter with terrorists in Panara village. Additionally, a fierce exchange of fire occurred in the Redwani Payeen area, although it remains unconfirmed if these militants were linked to the recent ambush on an Indian Air Force convoy in Poonch.

The attack on the convoy resulted in the death of an IAF officer and injuries to four others. The injured personnel were airlifted to Udhampur for treatment, where one succumbed to injuries. The region has witnessed heavy security deployment in response to these incidents, with search operations intensified across several areas.
