The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has reaffirmed its confidence in Dinesh Pratap Singh, who contested against Congress stalwart Sonia Gandhi in the 2019 polls for the Rae Bareli Lok Sabha constituency. Despite his loss in the previous election, Singh managed to considerably reduce the defeat margin, prompting the BJP to once again place its trust in him for the upcoming contest.

Presently, Dinesh Pratap Singh is Minister of State (Independent Charge) and Member of Legislative Council.

Meanwhile, Karan Bhushan Singh, the younger son of three-time Member of Parliament Brij Bhushan Singh, will be contesting from Kaiserganj. He looks forward to carry forward the legacy of his father.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Brij Bhushan Singh secured a landslide victory in Kaiserganj, emerging triumphant with a staggering margin of two lakh votes. His resounding success underscored his widespread popularity and strong support base among the electorate.

Karan Bhushan Singh is poised to carry forward his family’s political legacy by stepping into the electoral arena himself.

Congress has yet to announce its candidature for Raebareli.
