The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) has expressed concern over the silence of Muslim organisations and secular groups regarding the growing threats posed by Jihadis activities in the country. Speaking as the national spokesperson and All Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh, Vijay Shankar Tiwari highlighted the dangers associated with campaigns like “Vote Jihad,” terming them as threats to democracy.
Tiwari’s remarks come in response to recent incidents, including an alarming email sent to 178 schools in the national capital, threatening teachers, students, and parents with Islamic war cries and bomb threats. The VHP condemned the lack of condemnation from Muslim leaders or secular elements on such incidents, labeling it as detrimental to civilised society.
Referring to recent violent incidents perpetrated by Jihadis, Tiwari cited instances of religious processions being disrupted, Hindu women being assaulted, and brutal murders taking place across the country. He emphasised the need for society to remain vigilant against such forces and not succumb to their pressure tactics.
The VHP strongly condemned all forms of Jihadi violence and terrorism and called on Indian society to resist the influence of such groups. Tiwari urged citizens to participate actively in the ongoing national elections, organised by the Election Commission, to safeguard the interests of the nation and its people.
The press statement underscores growing concerns over Jihadi activities and calls for collective action to combat the threats posed by such elements
