The BJP launched a scathing attack on the Congress following praise from Chaudhry Fawad Hussain, a former minister in Pakistan’s Imran Khan cabinet, who shared a video of Rahul Gandhi on social media, hailing the Congress leader.

Amit Malviya, the BJP’s IT cell chief, took to Twitter to question the Congress’s intentions as Hussain, a former Minister for Information and Broadcasting in Pakistan, promoted Rahul Gandhi. Malviya highlighted the ideological alignment between the Congress manifesto and the Muslim League and Hussain’s endorsement of Rahul Gandhi from across the border.

Sharing a screenshot of Hussain’s post, where he exclaimed, ‘Rahul on fire…’ while sharing a video, Malviya emphasized the conspicuousness of Congress’s dalliance with Pakistan.

Meanwhile, another BJP leader, Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, echoed similar sentiments, pointing out the significance of Hussain’s endorsement of Rahul Gandhi, hinting at a covert alliance between the Congress and Pakistan.

From manifesto imprints of Muslim League to endorsements across the border, @RahulGandhi's alliance with Pakistan couldn't be more obvious.

In the shared video, Rahul Gandhi criticized the BJP government over the attendee list at the Ram Mandir’s Pran Pratishtha ceremony, accusing them of neglecting the interests of the underprivileged and youth. Hussain’s endorsement of the video underscores the growing political polarization surrounding the event.

Chaudhry’s tweet backing Rahul Gandhi comes amidst India’s ongoing 2024 Lok Sabha elections, where PM Modi’s victory seems imminent according to opinion polls. The BJP views this endorsement as an opportunity to vilify the Congress further, alleging a Congress-Pakistan nexus.

The BJP has consistently criticized the Congress, citing ideological similarities with the Muslim League, and now sees Hussain’s praise of Rahul Gandhi as further evidence of this alleged alignment.
