The bell for the 2024 general election has rung. The ten-year rule of Prime Minister Modi and the fractured opposition are the buzz of the town. Almost all media houses projecting thumping majority for PM Modi that too when anti-incumbency of his rule for 2 terms he is facing. When all of this is going on, the normal mindset of Bharatiya citizens, particularly those living in towns and cities, begins to believe that since PM Modi is already winning the election, why should we stand in line and vote on a specific day when we could instead go on a picnic with family and friends. Many people believe that not voting makes no difference (Mere ek vote se kya farak padega). That is why there is a lower percentage of voting in cities and metropolitan areas.
Everyone who wants to see Bharat as a great nation in all aspects of social, economic, and spiritual development should consider a broader perspective. Every vote helps to strengthen the nation and fight both internal and external enemies. We have seen a lot of turmoil in our great nation, and we have been victims of a mindset that no one wants. The “Colonial Mindset” that has developed over the years has benefited the dynastic political parties; they never and will not want such a mindset to change, which has helped them loot and weaken this nation. If we truly wish to instill fear in our adversaries, we must vote.
When a nationalist clicks the EVM button, it sends a shockwave across the enemy’s mind. We’ve seen in the last two terms that if we go to the polls and elect a government with a landslide, the country begins to go in the right direction, with progress happening everywhere.
Some may argue that there are still plenty of challenges even after ten years. Yes, everyone will agree, but we need to study our own life experiences. Whatever we are now is the result of several generations of our ancestors’ and families’ efforts. This huge country has over 24 crore families with varied cultures, political philosophies, and administrations at all levels. So, while we can see evidence of grassroot development, it will take at least another decade to bring about significant change.
The strengthening of internal and external security, the respect and leadership role on many occasions on the international platform, the positive shift in economic gears, “Swa”-based many policies and implementation as a part of Aatmanirbhar Bharat, the development of “Swa”-based mindset by removing colonial mindset, and the recognition of the importance of Sanatan Dharma for the development and security of the nation. So, the nation has transitioned from a destructive to a constructive mindset, and if we continue to build this mindset, we will undoubtedly become “Vishwaguru” in a decade or two. And in order for this to happen, we must vote on election day while also encouraging others to vote.
Remember, we have chosen the route of fundamentally assisting each individual in growing in all elements of individual life, then social life, then creating the nation, and finally bringing the globe together to live a harmonic life and bring peace.
If we do not vote because we are complacent about winning or have an irresponsible attitude, the candidate who works only for his family or party will cause us to regress on all fronts, even posing a threat to internal and external security. Do you want to suffer again?
Some argue that all parties are the same and do not operate ethically. Yes, we must agree to some extent, but when we look back thousands of years and also compare it to other countries around the world, we can see that the situation was or is similar.
However, we have the option of selecting “Available Best” who has a “Nation First” agenda, works to strengthen internal and external security, works to develop the last mile person, intends and works to eliminate corruption, even if it will take decades to root out corruption, works to restore culture and Dharma, and works to develop a “Swa”-based mindset.
Why we should vote—and encourage others to vote:
1. Aim for a $5 trillion economy by 2026.
2. Promote a “Swa”-based economy to boost entrepreneurship and employment opportunities.
3. Environmentally responsible and sustainable development
4. Combating and eliminating naxalism and foreign agents that threaten our nation’s socioeconomic fabric.
5. Achieving net exports.
6. Laws that are harmful to the idea of Bharat and were not intended by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar but were enacted by a few political leaders for political advantage will be repealed.
7. Developing an electronic hub with semiconductors as a major component.
8. Higher growth in defense equipment exports
9. Significant advances in the space sector
10. Effective and efficient implementation of the National Education Policy
11. An exponential increase in start-ups, patents, and unicorns.
12. Significant reduction in poverty rates
13. Increased ease of doing business
14. Judicial changes to enhance the system and provide prompt justice. It is easily accessible to the average person.
15. Drug mafias and the source of drug trafficking shall be removed.
16. POK will become part of the nation.
17. The rupee will be strengthened.
18. The rural economy will be enhanced.
19. More farmer-friendly policies to support their efforts.
20. Research and innovation shall be prioritized.
21. Promoting our cultural values on an international platforms.
22. Great freedom warriors and historic figures will be rewarded.
23. Indigenous technical innovation in all sectors will be encouraged.
24. One country, one election.

26. Dynastic politics shall be weakened
These are a few areas where we can expect changes in the next years if we vote and urge others to vote. We cannot go back to our comfort zone at this time; else, we will have to face another gloomy phase which we have encountered before 2014. Think of future generations, the safety of our children and women, and how progress in each field will be greatly affected if we develop a negative outlook, laziness in attitude, and action. Let each one be a spark that ignites self and others to vote to continue on the right path.
