The Department of School Education, Government of Telangana has released the official notification for Telangana State Teacher Eligibility Test 2024 on March 27, 2024. Interested and eligible candidates who wish to appear for TS TET 2024 can now submit their application form on the official website at tstet2024.aptonline.in/tstet. The last date to apply is April 10, 2024.
As per the official notification, the Telangana State Teacher Eligibility Test 2024, also known as TS TET 2024 will be conducted from May 20 to June 03, 2024. Candidates who want to work as primary school teachers (Classes I to V) must take TS-TET Paper I and those who want to work as upper primary school teachers (Classes VI to VIII) must take TS-TET Paper II.

To apply for TS TET 2024, all category candidates must pay an application fee of Rs 1000/- for a single paper and Rs 2000/- for two papers (Paper 1 and Paper 2). The application fee has to be paid first before proceeding with the application process.
Candidates must meet the eligibility requirements listed below before applying for TS TET 2024.
TSTET 2024 Eligibility Criteria for Paper 2 (Classes 6 to 8)
● BA/BSc/BCom/BE/BTech with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Differently abled candidates) and pass in BEd/ BEd Special Education.
● OR BA/BSc/BCom with at least 50% marks (40% for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Differently abled candidates) and pass in BEd/BEd Special Education in case of the candidates who have passed or admitted to BEd before the issue of guidelines (23-Dec-2015)
● OR 4-year BAEd/ BScEd with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Differently abled candidates) and pass in BEd/ BEd Special Education.
● OR Graduation with the language subjects for language teachers.
● Minimum 18 years old and there are no restrictions on the upper age limit.
TSTET 2024 Eligibility Criteria for Paper 1 (Classes 1 to 5)
● Passed class 10+2 or equivalent with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/ OBC/PwBD candidates).
● Passed a two-year Diploma in Special Education/ 4 years Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education/ a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
● OR a Four-year BA Ed/BScEd program with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
● OR BSc/BCom/BA with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
● Minimum 18 years old and there are no restrictions on the upper age limit.
Steps to Apply for TS TET 2024
Step 1: Visit the official website of TS TET at tstet2024.aptonline.in/tstet.
Step 2: Pay a fee of Rs 1,000/- if appearing for a single paper (i.e., only Paper I or only Paper II) or Rs 2,000/- if appearing for both papers (i.e., Paper I and Paper II) through any online payment mode.
Step 3: Enter the required preliminary data.
Step 4: On receipt of online fee payment, the candidate shall be issued a ‘Journal Number’ with which she/he can proceed with the submission of application online.
Step 5: Click on “Proceed to fill Application”. The application will be opened on the following screen.
Step 6: Fill in all the mandatory fields and then click on the “Preview” button provided at the bottom of the form for preview before applying.
Step 7: Press the “SUBMIT” button for final submission. Take a printout of the application fee for future reference.
Candidates must note that there is no specific limit to the number of attempts for TS TET 2024. The Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test (TS-TET-2024) is conducted every year by the Telangana state government for those eligible candidates who wish to be teachers in Telangana schools.
The eligibility test is conducted in 11 districts of the state in two sessions: Session 1 will be held in the morning shift from 9 AM to 11:30 PM and Session 2 will be held from 2 PM to 4:30 PM. Only those who meet the eligibility criteria will be permitted to appear for the TSTET exam.
To clear TS TET 2024, candidates from general category have to secure at least 60% or above marks, BC category candidates have to secure at least 50% marks and candidates from the SC/ST/Differently abled category have to secure a minimum of 40% or above marks.
