The Hathras Riot Conspiracy case has taken a significant turn with the confessions of co-accused Rouf Sherief, Anshad Badarudheen, Firos Khan, and K.P. Kamal's statements, which have exposed contradictions in Siddiq Kappan's claims and implicated him further in the case

The Hathras Riot Conspiracy case has taken a dramatic turn as the confessions of co-accused individuals shed light on the purported involvement of Siddiq Kappan, plunging him into deep legal trouble. The revelations made by co-accused Rouf Sherief, Anshad Badarudheen, Firos Khan, and KP Kamal have exposed contradictions in Kappan’s statements and implicated him as the alleged mastermind behind the conspiracy.

According to statements provided by the co-accused, Kappan purportedly played a pivotal role in orchestrating the Hathras Riot Conspiracy, masquerading as a media person to evade suspicion. However, his attempts to distance himself from the conspiracy have sparked unrest among the families of the co-accused, who assert that Kappan was the architect of the plot and led them into it.

Key testimonies from hit squad trainers Badarudheen and Firos Khan have implicated Kappan as a guide for the Popular Front Hit Squad, delivering incendiary speeches and advocating for the elimination of RSS and BJP leaders. Allegedly, Kappan exhorted violence in retaliation for the Babri Masjid Supreme Court verdict and the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), instructing the targeting of Hindu leaders involved in the Delhi riots aftermath.

Moreover, Rouf Sherief’s admission of financial transactions and logistical support provided to Campus Front leader Mohammed Danish for a Hathras visit further incriminates Kappan. The co-accused assert that Kappan orchestrated their actions and misled authorities by falsely claiming ignorance of their identities and intentions.

Crucial evidence, including Kappan’s phone records and seized SIMI and PFI documents, corroborate the testimonies of the co-accused, leaving little room for doubt regarding his involvement. Additionally, allegations of financial irregularities, including the disparity in funds allocated to Kappan’s family compared to those of the co-accused, have further tarnished his reputation.

Further complicating matters, complaints have surfaced regarding the disparity in financial support provided to Kappan’s family compared to the meager assistance extended to the families of the co-accused. Allegations of funds collected by the Solidarity Committee from Gulf countries and elsewhere, ostensibly for Kappan’s family, have sparked discontent among the co-accused’s relatives.

In response to mounting pressure, the families of Rouf, Badarudheen, and Firos have reportedly lodged complaints against the PFI leadership for engaging legal representation solely for Kappan. This disparity underscores growing tensions within the PFI and raises questions about the equitable treatment of all accused individuals.

As the case unfolds, the confessions of co-accused individuals cast a damning shadow over Siddiq Kappan’s alleged involvement in the Hathras Riot Conspiracy. With mounting evidence and testimonies stacking against him, Kappan’s legal predicament grows increasingly precarious, underscoring the complexities of navigating justice in cases of alleged radicalization and conspiracy.
